Bill Hicks was great friends with Kinnison and Tool so I mean yes and no. I'm sure he looked up to Kinnison for a time, but if you read his biography by his childhood friend Kevin Booth you know that he didn't look up to him forever. Thinking Hicks is just all bad is an awful take though. Pretty sure Sam would at least enjoy when Hicks would walk rooms and freak out on hecklers.
