Trial_With_An_Error it's the only time in the Telltale games, but in Sam and Max Hit the Road, there's an easter egg where if you click on something Sam can't reach he'll keep saying that he can't pick the item up, and even call the player "dense" and then he'll whine and Max says that if he didn't like Sam's sobbing he'd rip the player's limbs off. After that he'll just whine. There's a part in the game where they go to a carnival, and Max ends up in a dunk tank (I don't remember how) but Sam can still wander to a different area and then you can click on something and the same dialogue will happen, except that Sam will growl at the player (and obviously Max doesn't threaten the player since he's in a different room)

Does anybody else notice how Sam instantly calms down once he knows that Max's brain is okay and he's still conscious? Max is a calming force for Sam and vice versa. When Sam is nowhere to be seen after something bad happened Max freaks out. When Max is injured or nearly killed Sam becomes extra protective and starts rampaging against anyone who hurt him (including throwing a man off a building).
