No mention in the interview of the problems in defence. Last two years the Hawks leaked goals alarmingly on several occasions. You don't win games that way . James Blanck and C.J. already out injured and Hardwick sent forward leaves huge gaps as this year starts.. Obviously i'm no coach , but i think Hardwick will have to go back and maybe Gunston too. That would still leave the forward line with Mitchell and Chol as the keys and Breust , Ginnivan , Moore, Watson as the small forwards, with Wingard to come back eventually. We shall see , eh?

exactly! Their number one priority originally on the draft was getting a key defender to support sicilly and they never followed through! Who was the one player that made us win the triple premiership? Brian Lake was instrumental for the Hawks and now they got awful Frost down there and no new defenders.

​@noproblama9971 1. We did draft a key defender in the draft... will McCabe 2. No one we drafted was ever going to provide support for Sicily down back this year. Couldn't foresee Blank and DGB getting long term injuries. Last time I checked we traded for Brian Lake when he was already a star key defender. We'll have other opportunities to find key defenders, this year was always still a development year. Gunston will be able to provide support when needed and Ethan Phillips will be given his chance

I know it s round one but nothing has changed so easy for opponents to score, and we will hear about injuries young players gotta get more games in,etc it drives me mad when will our so called experienced players going to show leadership in games and stop the rot, if they stand up in games it would make a difference from one win every 6 weeks to winning every other week. So many many more changes required at this club.
