That first Tom Hawkins block on Moore, isn't that an illegal shepherd off the marking contest? He blocks Moore's ability to contest which gave Rohan a free marking attempt.

Blocks are the biggest BS free kick in the game. Why aren’t you allowed to protect your own player going for the ball, be it for a mark or whatever? And the thing is the umpires only pull it out of their backsides about once every three games. It is completely inconsistent in its application for a start.

Joel Selwood wasn’t too shabby in his first season (2007)

Selwood finished something like 15th in Geelong's best and fairest in 2007. He was mainly used off the bench. 1st year players such as Sam Walsh in 2019 and Nick Davis in 2022 played far greater roles for their clubs and were among their club's top 5 players.
