He was like in or out of college when he directed Evil Dead along with Bruce Campbell and the other actors who were in it. Including the other movie that he directed Within the Woods, that's interesting. Who ever thought a low budget horror movies like Evil Dead and Within the Woods would be a cult horror classic from a director who was in his early 20's when he did these films?

This interview because funnier when you find out that Sam is so entirely full of shit. haha. Probably just trying to tell a scary story to freak out the interviewer. Campbell says in his commentary "Sam will probably tell you a horrible story about how this happened, but it's not true. It really burned down because of a bunch of yahoos who came and lit a fire under it." I've always suspected the Evil Dead crew burned it down. haha.
