For those who don't know, Sam's dad is Robert Reich, the former Labor Secretary and progressive activist with his own KZbin channel that Sam occasionally shows up in, so Sam comes from a pretty liberal family. The part where he calls out Grant made this legendary episode more legendary. This is up there with the grant roast (which I watched for the 10th time and was also probably written by grant)
@ThomasUfnalCrowlake2 жыл бұрын
It was written by a friend of Grant's, if I remember correctly.

What a wonderful day. Im sitting here crying! This episode was glorious. Also, rice is totally more flavorful than it gets credit for.

Props to these four as well, especially Brennan and Katie, for their improvised bits also being funny enough to have the whole CREW in stitches.

Underrated moment: Right at the start when Brennan and Carolyn do their introductions as variants on Sam's name and he looks over, presumably at Grant behind the camera, suspiciously.

Love how Sam lost but Brennan got the punishment
@Griff10112 жыл бұрын
To be fair, I think Grant knew full well that that punishment would have spelled a hospital trip for his boss, and probably wouldn't get past the vetting process of the episode.

the entire episode was sam's punishment.

It's curious how Sam proclaimed without problem about the payment of nurses and doctors but exclaimed "no" when having to talk about dungeons and dragons. Grant is daring after his shameful episode🤣

Rice being flavorful is not a hot take, Sam. It's an Asian take. Rice is delicious. Ask any Asian, the first spoonful (or chopstick-full) of rice after an extended Western diet tastes delightfully sweet, and even better when served with something savory or saucy that'll get absorbed by the rice.
@miriamrosemary91102 жыл бұрын
