I can see why, though. Nudity's not *that* embarrassing once you get over the initial discomfort - we've all been naked, we've all got genitalia and usually it's all pretty standard. Conversely, most people have not have been involved in such an atrocity as that skit. If there was a Geneva convention for comedy, Grant would be up in front of the Hague being charged with violating every possible statute.

@milhousevanhoutan923510 ай бұрын
He's pretty principled. He and Grant talked about it somewhere. Apparently, Brennan called a time out because it was too much. Then Grant explained that he and Sam had discussed the bit before the episode was written and he was on board as long as he had final cut power to cut things that genuinely were too much. Which is why the people's names from his past are censored, because Grant rightfully pointed out they didn't sign up for this whereas he did. Grant said he was okay with it, because it was funny, and also because he'd done the Dropout America episode without even consulting Sam where he was saying things he vehemently disagreed with in a way that could be easily cut (Note: Sam Reich is related to former Labor Secretary Robert Reich and they are both very progressive in their politics) and misrepresented. So in a sense it was a payback prank. Once Brennan knew it was all good and Grant knew ahead of time it was going to be a savage roast, he carried on with the episode.

I live for Lily’s expression that says quite clearly she knew he didn’t wash it even before he admitted it

I don't think expertise is the word...maybe just hygiene?!? LOL god he didn't put it away but he knew it was there enough to rinse it off. If you don't live alone...spare people's eyes and trauma smh. Sharing a communal bath w/1st yr college girls was insane, gross and somehow a toilet bowl was broken (literally broken in shards).

@@pcarebear1 thinking it needs “expertise” to wash a sex toy after use is the grossest thing ive heard in a long time. reminds me that people DONT WASH them. THEY GO INSIDE YOUR BODY PLEASE WASH THEM WTF

Rinse it, soap it, rinse it again, soap it again, rinse it again - then apply a sanitizing spray designed for sextoys (real stuff contains shit that makes the silicone melt or ooze and then it becomes toxic) - keep it in a dry place, preferably a pouch. DO NOT expose that shit to copious amounts of sunlight, the colors will fade and the whole thing will start looking gnarly. Heavy use degrades the quality of the product and especially the cheap ones start accumulating a rank odor over time because of how silicone and fluids (lube and anal) react with each other. At that point throw it out and buy a new one. Generally silicone isn't capable of contamination, as in, residue will not accumulate on its surface as theres nothing to hold on to - so don't worry if you get shit on it (you will) - but do sanitize the fucking thing so it lasts longer. Also buttplugs are better for building up your capability long term. Do pinch excercises with one in - it actually also helps with shaping your butt as a whole. The name of the game is not how powerful you bottom the thing - the name of the game is flexibility - if you're going too hard too fast, you will tear and you do NOT want big tears in that area for obvious reasons. Low and slow until you've widened the thing - then its time to rev the engine. Remember to reapply lube every 15 minutes or so as it makes the de-insertion easier and less damaging for you as a whole. Hows that for expertise? :P

This is the only Breaking News episode I had to rewatch. I think my favourite moment in the whole thing is Brendan's "I don't feel comfortable" before showing the headshot.

If my friends did this to me in private, I wouldn't be friends with them anymore. The fact that this went to the freaking PUBLIC is a testament to either how much Grant is willing to reveal about himself for comedy, or somebody really hates Grant

@@anawilliams1332 surprisingly, this is not part of total forgiveness. This is just his friend deciding to troll grant and grant approved it since he was head writer for this show.

In the Bachelor thing on this channel with Grant there is an episode where a member of his "council" is his old friend Nick who knows "more than anybody else" about Grant. It was implied that he's the one who wrote the script for this episode of Breaking News. So, old friend roasting the shit out of Grant. What are friends for?
