I'm loving Sam Reid so much as Lestat. I think what's sort of escaping people is that we haven't *met* Lestat yet. We have Louis' story, perhaps muddled by Armand, and Claudia's voice through her diaries. But we have not seen the real Lestat, only the echo of his memory tinged by bitterness and longing. I am insanely excited for the perspective shift, to begin to see this story through the eyes of the hero at its helm for 40 years of Chronicles novels. 🥲

Been waiting for his face to be everywhere for so long, so happy it is. He shares a name with the Hawks footy player which i know because for too long when you googled 'Sam Reid' the player was who came up first (get it together Australia). So glad we get to see this kind of acting more now. I know there's alot of talented guys out there beyond him and Ben Whishaw, Viggo Mortenson etc but I guess some people are the characters, the men you want to see, that make you feel exactly the way you're meant to and he is all THAT. Kudos to Jacob Anderson though, I thought my attention would be drawn, but he is so fierce and clever and tender, such charm, you cant miss a beat, the acting is AcccTING on this show. Every character.
