Great cover! Sadly, Yesterday May 1st 2023, our beloved Gordon Lightfoot passed away at the Sunnybrook hospital in Toronto. May he rest in Peace and Love forever!. Thanks for a lifelong soundtrack of your memory evoking lyrics Gordon. My older sister had all your albums. I loved playing them and know all the lyrics. Bless your heart and Soul! Hopefully you young folks, like Sam, will continue to cover Gordon Lightfoots music forever! ❤🇨🇦🎸🎼🎶🙏🏻

Nice compliment. On thing I discovered after learning about gord in 1972 was that I had to take vocal lessons. I was lucky to get state payed vocal lessons at CSUN singing classical. Gord as it turned out did the same. By 1966 his voice was clean as a bell. Latter on his voice aged and mellowed with the drink and the smokes. In 2002 they messed up his throat and abdomen but he struggled through. Check out fritz Wunderlich for a clean vocal example. Gord is good also. "Dark as a dungeon" etc.
