How do you feel about soft close cabinetry? I like walnut but do you have a lighter wood that you work with. I love your builds.

@@felecy9 we use soft close hardware but we modify it for the slam latch at the end of travel. Watch my video on the 4z4 Sprinter tour. That was done in Birdseye maple and cherry

Aesthetics overload. I'm blown away each time I see a finished van. These vans should be in the Museum of Modern Art in SF or NY. They are jewels of design work. George you are the best. I like the livability of the first van floor plan. However, not enough storage for full timers. As I said, the fixed bed in the rear allows for that big garage!

I saw the full reveal on another KZbin channel and I am blown away! I could definitely imagine living in this van with my husband. I love all of the windows, def allows for a more open feel. I was afraid of possibly feeling claustrophobic. When you got to the window coverings I was really hoping for the slides like on airplane windows. Lol Everything else was so futuristic in my opinion. Lol Realistically speaking, I know each build is client specific, but what would you say is the cost of your average build? Trying to give myself realistic expectations. If that makes sense. The Webasto heater says not to use gas with ethanol. How do people deal with that if all gas stations use 10% Ethanol. I ask because I want to get one but that is a huge concern.

with all your attention to detail, and the van is lovely, I would have made a custom cushion to fit completely over the toilet lid that allows it to stay put while driving and looks more like an ottoman.

Vagabond did not have Blum, they had Accuride. Since then we use Blum but we modify them

@@HumbleRoad no. In the video you have the paper towels hung up. That's good. Now instead of parallel, hang it perpendicular. Then the papertowels will roll off one at a time instead of more than what you need.

A large deep sink is the "best" - when you first installed one in your rig some 4 years ago - I took note! After 15 months in my Transit - I'm definitely still not a fan of a sink in that location. Different height drawers are certainly key. Along with several other heights - I found that a 3.5 to 4" tall drawer to be priceless to store an innumerable number of items some standing up or some on their side. A must-have imho. As usual - Another great/beatiful build...

@@HumbleRoad I had a quick look - a good 40% of my drawer space are 3.75" tall. Much easier to keep things organized with much less clutter - ie - not having to move one thing to get at another.
