Sam's Moon Portrait: Adding Sheers in the Final Draft

I'm on the final draft of my fabric collage portrait of my son Sam. I've interpreted him as a crescent moon with the earth behind him. I'm leaning toward the title "Earthshine." Earthshine is when sunlight reflects off the earth and casts its light onto an otherwise unlit part of the moon.
In this video I show you how I work with sheers, organzas, tulles, and other semi-transparent fabrics to add highlights, shadows, definition, and just overall pizzazz.

This is brilliant!! I am a fabric addict. I got a sewing machine and made bags and such but nothing inspired me. I could never find what I was looking to do even though I couldn’t but a finger on what that was. I knew what it was in my minds eye and have searched and searched for inspiration /ideas and just couldn’t find it or even a technique that was deserving of my room filled with fabric. I never use my best/favorite fabrics when I sew bags and such (I’m self taught and much in the learning stage) I save them because I knew one day I’d figure out exactly where/how to use them. Your project is a masterpiece! Wish I was your daughter and you could make me in to cosmo as a ⭐️ . Thanks for the video and the inspiration ❤️

When you quilt your art will the tacky glue build up and cause the needle to become sticky .?
