Notice how Tim's demeanor changes when a person he's disagreeing with is sitting right in front of him. He's all fire and brimstone when he's just talking to people who agree with him but when Sam started by bringing up his ban Tim got visibly uncomfortable.

Why the Pool show later on about shutting things down, going lean, laying off staff and "spending more time with his family"? Maybe the new job now that every fascist available is in power is he has to clean up (if he can) to head the new office of "Streaming Approval" and only Pool can approve your license and he gets a vigorish, a taste paid to him for every license he awards, and every week until the stream is done when he is in the Trump administration? To soon?

@shokosugi23462 күн бұрын
A second thing you're wrong about is the guns. We don't need to only target the majority of deaths and I don't know why you would frame it that way at all. When the next school shooting inevitably, invariably takes place, what are we going to do, show up and be like "well, at least this isn't part of the vast majority of deaths 🤓 those would be from handguns!" I get that you like guns but I'm sorry, there is no rational basis for the kind of availability you're talking about, and the standards you're articulating make zero sense - things like 'they store them responsibly' and 'they have no criminal history.' The thing about criminal history is nobody has one until they commit a crime. For example, trying to kill the president with dad's gun because you're an incel and your dad is a gun fetishist who maybe was diligent about safely storing his weapons once upon a time, but has absolutely zero oversight to keep him from becoming irresponsible over time. We've demonstrated we're not mature enough as a society, and there isn't a coherent argument for the benefit of availability of the more dangerous firearms that we can put on the opposite side of a scale to outweigh that reality.

@Pkinchy16 күн бұрын
He means that shoplifting has gone up recently. The reports of larger scale shoplifting during and post covid causing Walgreens and Targets closing was largely sensationalized. Violent crime down, petty crime up.
@LizStaples14 күн бұрын
So the Shoplifting at Walgreens was a big news story, that ended up being BS the CEO claimed they were having so much shoplifting they were closing stores. Thing is they are a public company, so their earnings are public info, and the data proved they were not losing significant money to shoplifting and were closing stores because they had over expanded.
@rubymeaddle14 күн бұрын

What Tim is saying here, just to make sense of it all, is that saying "X should get the Death Penalty for Y" is not agreeing with it, if it's the Law DESPITE disagreeing with it they SHOULD... because it's the Law. Now, we can say that's a weasel answer... but that is not Pro-Death Penalty. Tricky, tricky. That's a Pro-Laws Answer. I disagree with the law, but it IS the law, therefore. The issue is the phrasing. If he had said "I am against the Death Penalty, however the Law is the Law and so if one commits Treason they should expect the Death Penalty as an Option."
@mr.negativenancy575116 күн бұрын
He didn't say that "one should expect though." He prescribed the death penalty for treason. I can agree that doesn't make him "pro-death penalty," but it definitely isn't an anti death penalty stance
