Great drill. Started viewing your videos after watching Malaska's videos which i discovered by watching Be Better Golf videoas. I really like the video you also did on explaining two types of swings..the arm based and the leg based. The "over the top from the inside" idea is very appealing and I tried it on the course a few months back when I watch some of Mike Malaska's videos. I am a bit conflicted between the arm swing, where one is encourage to go "vertical" with the club while keeping shoulder relaxed and a more leg-based swing, as you describe her with the snead swing (and as i've see from GGSwingtips tout with a similar squat to start the swing). So my question is, can you combine both methods? i.e have your arms do the "over the top from the inside" while at the same time do the snead squat? and would this be recommended? thanks in advance. Love your videos!

jumpsqrt thanks for watching my videos. To answer your question no the two swings are like oil and water. The Malaska over the top from the inside if mixed with early rotation turns into steep pulls. The Malaska swing requires pivoting the club and body rotation goes in sync with the club. The rotational swing requires your arms and club to stay behind your rotation until centrifugal force slings them out into the ball.

thanks Milo. that explains my bad shots! lots of low pulls! do you do any online teaching? i moved to Hong Kong from California, 6 years ago, and my handicapped has doubled (12 to 24), but haven't found a good instructor. if you do online teaching e.g. send you videos of my swing via youtube or other, and you send your thoughts, I would be interested. Hoping at some point to make a trip out to Arizona, but hard with 3 little kids for now. thanks again. - Chris

jumpsqrt I do online lesson in two ways. 1. Live via skype or FaceTime. 2. is by receiving video and sending analysis. Let me know how you would want to go about it.
