It would make sense for the show if Starkiller really was there. Two different apprentices of Anakin, both trained in opposite sides of the force. Ahsoka feels abandoned by Anakin because he went full dark side, and maybe this version of starkiller feels abandoned because Vader turned to the light before dying. Maybe they both reconcile with the fact that Anakin was complicated and that his fall to the dark side and redemption to the light isn't their fault. Two failed apprentices from the same master fighting each other using the same techniques taught by the same teacher. It would be cool to see what Starkiller and Vader were like together and compare to Anakin and Ahsoka.
@Lightwrath1994 Жыл бұрын
I love this concept too much. I would love to see two force users just fight for their lives, using the same technique and share a deep twisted connection. It's a Ying Yang concept in this case. I also would like to see Vader just observing his apprentice, cause he told the emperor HE would kill the next target, but in reality his apprentice would deal with Vader's orders, just as a test or training sort of to prove himself. Vader needs to observe him,to know his skills but also to guarentee there are no survivors, also Vader would be able to tell the emperor all the details about the situation, cause he was really there.

I would love if Starkiller gets introduced in a more subtle way. What I mean by that is to have maybe him starting as a normal inquisitor with a normal inquisitor name (like eleventh brother or something). He would have seemingly pretty weak powers and he would be masked in a way so no one in the audience would know it's him. But then, in a specific scene, he removes his helmet in front of Vader and everyone would go "OOOH". Then the two would talk as master and apprentice about specific secret plans, and in the scene immediately after we would get to see Starkiller's true powers getting mercilessly unleashed on his enemies during one of his missions. The way this would work would be that the Emperor would think that Starkiller is just one of the many inquisitors, and through very precise trickery (like faking the midichlorian count test results) Vader would manage to hide the fact that Starkiller is in reality his very talented secret apprentice who is being trained to overthrow the Emperor.

@@coloneluseless524He's the closest glimpse we have ever gotten into what it would be like if Luke had truly joined Vader. No redemption, just a cycle of hatred and despair. While at the same time, he is a parallel to Anakin himself. A young boy taken from the only life he ever knew, only instead of being a public member of the Jedi Order, he is a secret ally to a Sith Lord, plagued with a lot of the same identity problems that Anakin had, only these similarities are an echo of the Dark Lord's tragedies. It gives us a great glimpse into the evil that Darth Vader was truly capable of, he wasn't just some misguided soul, he was a truly evil man who adopted a small boy just so he could try to kill him every single day, on the off chance that he would survive and grow strong enough with the Dark Side to aid Vader in overthrowing the Emperor, only to betray Starkiller to prove his loyal to Palpatine. The fucking trials Starkiller goes through in his tragically short life is enough to make him a Top 5 Expanded Universe characters. Disney had to spend the last 10 years trying to make multiple stories to fill in the era that The Force Unleashed occupied and failed to deliver on most of those fronts, and ironically the closest they came to achieving a compelling narrative set between Revenge of the Sith and A New Hope is with Ahsoka in Season 2 of Rebels, but they admittedly botched that with the World Between Worlds(Which is an interesting concept that will hopefully be expanded upon in the Ahsoka series), it felt like a cheap way to bring Ahsoka back without having to explain "She was alive all along just busy or in recovery or something blah blah blah" Was Starkiller overpowered? Yes. He was a video game character trying to compete with the hack n' slash genre juggernauts like Dante from Devil May Cry and Kratos from God of War, no doubt he would not have those crazy stupid levels of power in any other adaptation, but the idea that he is a force to be reckoned with after a lifetime of being tortured by Vader every single day is not at all far-fetched.

The idea of Starkiller being an Inquisitor that was secretly Vader's apprentice is pretty cool. He would play down his power and skill when he's with the other Inquisitors (and most likely wear a mask to hide his face). But then he gets to let loose while on secret missions. Obviously, Palpatine would Know. But Anakin/Vader is extremely arrogant throughout his entire life. So it would make sense that Vader would think that he could hide an apprentice (let alone one as powerful as Starkiller) in plain sight.
@ryanell123 Жыл бұрын
Such a perfect fit for the marrok character. Could've been seen as a low class inquisitor not sent out on many missions and worked alone to keep palpatines attention away from him. Maybe during the og star wars he was sent out to deal with some jedi remnants or even skol and hatti themselves. Or vader cast him out when he learned of luke. Then he joins up with them when he hears vader dies. Keep him at a slightly lower level than absoka, but after all of this he survives and starts down his own path gaining power more similarly to something like an og starkiller but obviously still nerfed. Finally he can be a future big bad, or even a hero against something like abeloth in the unknown regions. If you made him op it would be perfect against god level powers like that while dumbass rey starts her bs little nerd school.

I never watched him as an inquisitor cuz I don’t think it works well with how they work and they would nerf him or not make him the same tbh It could work maybe with how Sam explains the hypothetical sure but as he said it would be hard to do tbh Yet I admit it sounds interesting and the conflict and risk is great since he’s in plain sight ofc But without Juno or Proxy or Kota then he’s missing out a lot of his character and what pushes him, his trials makes him who he is, so I don’t think it works in the end. I think they should just take the games and the Novelizations to make a live action adaption if they ever were to do it and just be as accurate and loyal to the material as you can which sadly I admit is very hard with how the canon plays out since he didn’t make the rebels nor the symbol, and with the inquisitors it makes his role half filled, and as Sam said Erza & Kanan also fill part of his role and story so it’s not easy to fit into canon. So at best I’d like a non canon adaption that’s good enough yet I doubt it so what I’d settle for is a remaster or remake of the games plus a 3rd one to continue then finish the trilogy they never finished back then.

The “secret apprentice hiding in plain sight” idea seems so much more interesting than most of what we actually end up getting in Star Wars nowadays. I wish that someone with creative freedom would have taken a shot at adapting Starkiller to the shows and doing it better justice than the games did. The idea of a secret apprentice who gets betrayed by Vader and has to figure out what his place in the galaxy ought to be, leading to a redemption arc could be better fleshed out in the sort of format some of the shows have had, as opposed to the TFU games. To be clear, I like the TFU games a lot. But their storytelling format was very limited because the focus was on the gameplay. I think that a lot more could have been done with Starkiller as a character than what the games did. He could have been one of the most compelling Star Wars characters ever.

The idea of having a dynamic that includes Anakin's apprentice, Vader's apprentice, and Kanan's apprentice is beyond enticing. I'm not sure how well it could have been put into practice, retroactively speaking, but I feel like it could have been an improvement on the show to have a Galen Marek-type character be the foil for Ezra while Thrawn (and other antagonists like Kallus, Pryce, Vader, etc.) served as a foil for the Ghost Crew. I do think there's a chance that a decision like that could have (potentially) overshadowed Ezra and taken the show in a different direction, but I do often wish Ezra had his own dedicated antagonist. Utilizing one that both parallels and contrasts Ezra's path might have showcased growth in later seasons with his character that several thought was absent.

It was fun to theorize about Marrok lol. And I thought so at first, but as time went by, I honestly didn't think Marrok was Starkiller anyways. As I thought about it more, I didn't think he would be anything other than a new character. But that doesn't mean Starkiller won't show up in canon, or even in this show, at some point. I just think there are too many hints at canonization/reintroduction of aspects of The Force Unleashed to ignore: - Starkiller's Sith Stalker armor in Andor - Starkiller's lightsaber hilts in Kenobi - Rahm Kota being canonized - The Force Unleashed and TFU II being re-released to Switch - Rumors of TFU III - Hasbro's new line of Starkiller toys and action figures It might not be happening presently, but it definitely seems like they're building up to his introduction into canon somewhere. All of these things were deliberate decisions that were made.

I didn't know about all this! I think Lucasfilm loves throwing in Easter Eggs, even if it's from things that aren't canon. But this gives me some hope. I honestly just want Sam to be recognized a little more in a huge Star Wars role. It doesn't even need to be Starkiller, but he could be someone original.
@VioletMoon4155 Жыл бұрын
@coloneluseless524 Yes, for sure! He definitely deserves that. And I know they like to throw us a bone every once in a while with Easter eggs, but these things have all come very recently. Almost as if they're deliberately throwing all these hints for a reason. It's not like they've been spread out over a period of time. And although I'd be happy with having Sam in any capacity for a live action role, I think Starkiller would be quite poetic. If they're going to introduce him, it's honestly the perfect time given all of the story potential. Anakin's apprentice v. Vader's apprentice, Ahsoka embodying The Daughter, Anakin Mortis (The Father), and Starkiller The Son, him being Thrawn's right hand/assassin, him helping found the First Order... there's just a lot of potential there, and they could make it work with their own version of the character. I don't have my hopes high, but I have to say that all of these hints definitely have me thinking.

Praying he's Marrok in Ahsoka. Too much is lining up for him to NOT be him. In the credits, Marrok is played by Paul Darnell who is the stunt double, who also happens to be the same height and very similar weight to Sam Witwer. Sam Witwer has also been in the credits under Additional Voices for episodes 2, and 3. Those being the two episodes that Marrok has been in so far.

The Ashoka show would be a great place to include Starkiller. You would have Anakin’s and Vader’s apprentices face to face. It would be poetic.

As interesting as this idea is, I feel that fans obsessing over characters in Legends being brought to Canon should just go and read Legends material themselves. Why bring a character from a separate universe to water them down to a lesser version? Like Starkiller being an Inquisitor. Just enjoy Legends for what it is and maybe if the demand is high enough, Lucasfilm will actually be compelled to continue Legends as a separate canon. We'll get to see Starkiller continue his story from TFU 2.

I have to agree with you. Your point on the fandom: hard agree. But thinking back to the Marrok theories, I have doubts the theory of Starkiller, and instead believe he’s probably a new character. I asked this question to Sam months ago for fun, way before we knew the details of Ahsoka. Maybe it will come true, maybe it won’t.

Sam Witwer for real needs a live action star wars role or just more roles in general he’s such a damn good actor and is more into star wars than anyone making these new shows as far as i can tell.

I could see him as a secret weapon. We could do a huge plot change and maybe the inquisition mutinies against vader and he puts them down and starkiller is the only one he keeps having faked his death.

In my own personal opinion of the Star Wars trilogy and also for the Force Unleashed should have continued to be Cannon but if there was ever hope for there to be a remake to bring back starts killing the spotlight I think it would have been so awesome if after what happened with Part 9 Ray should have been considered the daughter of Starkiller the reason why would sink that is because it just seems obvious in a way and it's because re has the accent like Juno and due to her struggle between the light and the dark side of the force it just seems obvious to me that she's starkiller's daughter but what's done is done. What do you think so far just curious that's all?
