In truth, this is the real only area where the dancers can actually samba dance by the contest regulation , the "passistas section). Others, they have kind of "march"... Pois é. Em Corumbá, que é uma Rio de Janeiro no Pantanal, com o melhor carnaval de MS, estava ficando muito abaianado. O trio-elétrico estava descaracterizando tudo. Até que o pessoal deu uma renovada, voltando às origens, e foi se recuperando.

Verdade. Conheço com as agremiações aí evoluiram. No Rio as "redes de transmissão" nem mais passam as alas de passistas, o que era um "must" nas décadas de 40 e 50 , como está comprovado na literatura. Um absurdo. Hoje quem manda é a miida e as escolas obedeem caladas...por do $$....

They have been debating if these two aspects of the parade ( Both the Passistas Section ) and the Queen of Drums Section should also be official criteria on the contest. I personally think yes. I see, its two different set of rules...and the volumes of money too...Here , each samba school ( elite team ) spends from US$ 1 - to 2.5 US million per parade...EACH...laughs...that´s why it´s called the greatest carnival on earth...4.000 members parade in each samba school, 400 drummers, 8 floats, all numbers are impressive...
