My son shared your music with us in our kitchen. He resignatted so much with it, he passed away at only 17 11-27-23. He was trapped in a traggic house fire saving his biological fathers life. This is the song he introduced us to first and honestly it slipped my mind because it was on his play list. I came across this just now and brought tears to my eyes because I could see his excitement in his face and hear him introducing this song to us. I cherish the 17 yrs worth of memories I made with him. He loved your music and was so proud to share and sing along. Thanks for being apart of my boys life even though you didn't even know it. ❤

Sam, I’m a former heroin addict and my 16 year old son just sent me this yesterday! I haven’t been able to stop listening to it over and over! Got pulled over last summer on a Friday the week before my birthday. This song was playing. I almost ran. I had no license. It was suspended. But I was working hard towards getting everything back active. I’m so glad I stopped. The officer. I’ll never forget him. “Well son seems your having a rough patch and I don’t plan on making your life any harder on you. Go to your court date with an active license and it will be thrown out” I said really? You’re not arresting me? He said “ of course not son. You’re clearly trying to better yourself, in no way do I want to keep you back.” Last thing he said to me before he parted ways was “ For your sake I hope we never meet again” that was it.

I'm an ex crackhead who tried to take my lofe in 2019, I survived just about and 4 years later im good and living life the best I can, I'm sober since 6-1-16 but ended up addicted to prescription drugs, I'm now 3 years away from pharmaceutical opiates and feeling a lot better. This song even with me being in a good place hits hard, I've got back up numerous times and I'm glad I did. I struggle with autism, bpd, clinical depression and other stuff. Life was never meant to be easy but I made mine so much harder by the decisions I made. Think long and hard about your decisions as one bad one can destroy your life. I dont have a religion as I believe in myself . Determination and pure will got me back. If I can do it anyone can. ❤

I relate to the chorus so much. My sister ran away and went missing at 2 in the morning. She was in a corn field (it was winter, nothing was growing and it was full with grass as it hasn’t been used in a few years) and was sprinting running from police dogs. She went missing with her boyfriend, who was under the influence and stole a car. She took the SIM card out of her phone as he told her to do. She eventually got out, and that’s where she ran into the field. Thankfully, by the time I was back at home, she was safe and her bf was in serious trouble.
