I definetly agree with the Paul statement. A lot of people ive seen have acted like this was a moment where Paul became some amazing father but while sacrificing your life for your son is something an amazing father would do, one deed isnt enough to write all of his wrongs but he did still showed he had the makings of an great father. The first season was put together so well that i ended up reading my first LN of any series. It showed me how beautiful the world was and how well details were presented. With that said, I did not like season 2 at all because of the pacing and lack of attention to details compared to the first. Even tho the Zenith rescue arc was one of my favorite, S2 did not deliver it for me.

I really liked this anime, until the last 2 episodes of season 3. Completely made me lose all interest in more of the story, because if we do get more, itll just be "hey babe, can we get ANOTHER wife? Lol im so much like my dad, haha"

4:10 Nah people are allowed to be disappointed that an anime that sold itself as an adventure fantasy anime turns into a really tame high school romance in a fantasy setting. It's also worth mentioning that the art/animation got considerably worse and the pacing is all over the place. Nanahoshi having a complete mental breakdown and then recovering 4 minutes of runtime later comes to mind especially. Don't get me wrong, the most recent episode was incredible, but it doesn't erase how I felt about the first 9 episodes. Those were boring, poorly animated and lacked the character depth that we saw in season 1. Out of all things, the thing that bothers me the most is definitely the art. Season 1 had so much character and I think that was mostly because of the beautiful art. There are a lot of things I don't like about season 2. Zanoba is annoying. Rudy reunting with Ruijerd only for them to literally not say anything of value is annoying. Rudy reuniting with Sol only for neither of them to say anything of value is annoying. The dialogue lacks the fluidity that I felt in season 1, but then again it could just be that the same kind of dialogue is now poorly animated.

First like 8 episodes of the show were slide of life. Didn’t sell itself as an adventure fantasy in anyway and we knew from the start of the journey after the tp that they were just going to travel until they home. You could say the animation got worse if you want but it’s still amazing.
