I started watching your channel when I was 12/13 years of age. Since than I've watched every singel one of your videos and now I'm starting UNI. Strange how time flies by so fast. You've inspired me from a very young age and it's unfortunate that you no longer upload on your channel. Your views on art and ability to create such fascinating worlds are a huge reason to why I have continued drawing and creating stuff on my own. Thank you BrotherBaston.

Your channel was one of the first ones I started watching when I was starting to like drawing again in college, a few years have passed and now I'm working on it as a freelancer and I intend to eventually join a company. Thank you for inspiring me, thank you for producing art, without people like you this world would have gone by without me even knowing, I'm happy to be here

i havent even finish the video but i gotta comment already, so deep man, it really got me the open up yourself in social media when you upload smt. edit: wah ok it got even deeper, this must be one of the most deep and meaningful video on the art fields ive ever seen, like as a freelance myself i totally understand you and makes me happy im not the only one feeling like that, and you did a great progress
@BrotherBaston2 жыл бұрын
Yeah i'm sure that feeling about freelance, constantly going from project to project and the voids in between, it's something a lot of people feel in that field. Wish you the best with that work!

I was feeling super down after finishing a piece but still seeing fundamental errors in it. Hearing you share self criticism definitely made me feel better. I appreciate your courage and ability to be vulnerable

Such a drastic improvement overall! I've been watching since your first videos and have seen your skill grow and change over the years, its been great to watch your art journey! If your worried about not having produced anything concrete, why not turn one of your comic stories like "Infra" or the others into an actual comic. Those worlds were so unique and its definitely a series i would pay to read.

Hey thanks! I think my issue right now is that i only know how to make a living drawing other people's ideas, but i have no idea how to do it drawing my own ideas, like you mentioned for example, comics, etc. So i'd have to figure that out first but yeah i do want to make something more tangible at some point.

I legit started crying the moment you said you haven't gotten anywhere with all the work you put in. been having a rough time lately as an artist,dealing with things like imposter syndrome, asking myself everyday so many questions and giving myself a hard time which in fact pushes me away from doing art not to grind harder. And so today the main question i asked myself after looking at a white screen for an hour with all the projects that i took in the back tabs, is if the ones that made it in the industry and are creating amazing things have dealt with this same feeling and for how long. all i can say when i saw your art on art station is that you know, this guy must be working for the biggest game studios out there look at this work. you're amazing man, the video hits very close and thanks google for making an algorithm so good that it matched my damaged mental state. i somehow feel much better after watching this and it's time to fill that white canvas
@BrotherBaston2 жыл бұрын
Hey, that's great to hear, never let that empty canvas beat you. I get the same type of motivation watching other people draw whether it's on youtube, instagram, etc. So if this video can do the same, that's awesome. Also, about that google thing, i would only be slightly surprised if their algorithm was somehow able to read minds at this point.

i think that the colors in the old one transmit better the cold feeling, in the new one the orange kinda ruins the mood for me.

I totally get that "cringe" feeling of see an old drawing, and man you've improve a lot

Glad to see this one back, really miss some of your older videos/art that don't seem to be up anymore. Really cool to see the differences from your art style now opposed to back then as well.

Yeah i privated a lot of old stuff because youtube seemed to be only recommending those old videos, which aren't really representative of what i draw nowadays.

I think i just manage to wing it better nowadays but i've still been pretty lazy with some fundatmentals.

it honestly broke my heart when you took a lot of your old stuff down. I have been watching the channel since the original "how to cell shade the head." video and it's been amazing to learn to draw alongside BB. I guess having those go away felt like losing a bit of my own art journey if that makes any sense.
@BrotherBaston2 жыл бұрын
Sorry about that. I wouldn't even really have privated all that old stuff but youtube was only recommending those old videos to new viewers and i felt like it really gave the wrong impression of the channel to new people.

It's alright I totally understand the need from a channel growth perspective 😊
