Regarding one case, within a 1yr period, I was sent to IME's, FCE's and Psych. evals, (reasonable and customary)? 2 insurance companies asking for more assessments and to travel 100km+ for those appts. Trying to get "better", I was already attending my own local physio 3 - 5 x's per week as well as other Medical Specialists. My Physician supported me, he sent the insurances a letter saying in his opinion they had a reasonable amount of assessments already done, any more would be excessive and would exacerbate my injuries. Due to my severe back/neck injuries, he also placed a 50km limit of travel. Insurance temporarily backed off.
