Yes! and it's a great example of Sami's point about how everyone influences your own life. :) without Renee... the journey of CM Punk would have been different! And without so many others... like the presence of Tony Khan, the Bucks, Cody Rhodes, Kenny Omega... who made that company that drew CM in. And then linked to that even the tragic loss of Brodie Lee played into CM PUnk's decision as it turns out. Of course, the beautiful treatment of Brodie Lee's family is due to the dozens of other people Tony Khan had in place to make their situation bearable. SO many people affect our lives!

I remember he was starting to catch fire and then they had the show in Saudi and told him he's not allowed to perform and then he started this conspiracy character and just kind of floats along waiting to get fired I assume. For the baby looking like the dad, as I was listing to Sami my thought was that a reason for it might be to give the father more of a feeling of bonding initially. Given most mothers will feel an instant bond with the baby it would make sense that the father doesn't totally have that due to not carrying the baby and feeling it grow in them, so them being able to see themselves in the baby right away will help that bonding process and thus kep the father around to protect the family (from a historical perspective)

41:55 there was seperation in my family too when I was 4 but I got to see both my mother and father even through those difficult times. In regards to wrestling I remember just being so hooked on Eddie Guerrero back in the day in my later childhood early teens and in my early childhood between 4-7 i loved Steve Austin. Now I think really deeply and would have a short fuse even when I don't want that to happen in stressful situations like work and shit but now because of those experiences with the psychology of the product I now like to get the full context of things cause a lot of my childhood revolved essentially around that WWE structured format in the Ruthless Aggresion era mostly. Also in school the recent show would have been the talk of the class you know and we would conversate and speculate what would happen the next week because of their cliffhangers and stuff and how it was going to play out

This is basically saying that wrestling, like all literature and art, both shapes our culture and is shaped by our culture. I think Sami is saying that wrestling has themes and can be analyzed like literature. In this case, I define a “theme” as “the authors message to the reader about the real world.” When I think of prevalent wrestling thematic tropes, I first thought about how men should deny medical help and they definitely should rebel against authority. Then, I considered what WWE teaches us about women and minorities. So there could be a whole sub genre of gender and race studies in wrestling. Again, this is just like any other literature or film study. It’s just that not too many people look at wrestling that way, even though it’s perhaps even more closely tied to culture than movies of books.

Very much a product of many other things. I grew up listening to the music my parents listened to. Yes, I listen to music my parents don’t/didn’t. But they are offsets of the music I grew up with. My dad throughout his life was a very casually dressed. Never the suit and tie type of person. I’ve continued to do the same. Became a professional wrestling fan through my older cousin who had liked it. A lot of the psychological stuff of people is from the second we are born. By example a baby is born, if a boy usually put in blue clothing, if a girl put in pink.

I love how Sami's mind works and turns. I often say that too many people don't even get to that stage of self examination and general introspection about life! I am glad he's thinking about these things. And yes, very relatable to wrestling. And most other endeavors, actually. Like there are superstars in wrestling today who did climb over others and used others to get where they are. And I think that's related to how general life is even in business. The American model is totally dog eat dog, survival in the jungle model. It's Feudalistic where a KING rules over the peasants. And there are wrestling companies that work this way. The super mega stars are there because they stepped on others and pretty much believed they did it all by themselves. Wrestling is full of these guys who bury others constantly and never give back. Then there is the other model. The sharing and helping each other model. The model right wingers loath and call "Socialist societies". The one where even when one rises, he knows to give a hand to others to help lift them up. We see these guys all the time as well. Super talented wrestlers who do help others by selling for them. By helping them grow. It's my theory that why aren't there any super billionaire Norwegians or Swedish is because their model gives back to the larger community. It's not about the king and his feudal estate the way we have it in the USA. There are still some very rich people in these "socialized" countries, but not in the extreme excess we see in our country. And it's not just the USA. Any other country you will see a small number of super elites and then everyone else --peasants in a Feudal Lord's domain. Just look at Lebanon. The super rich still exist there and they have gotten fat off the country's debts and wealth while the majority suffered.

How I understand what Zayn is saying is that society's constantly evolving and volatile ideas of right vs wrong, good vs bad, then leads to our perceptions of good people and bad people, virtue and vice, constantly changing. What would have been a virtuous babyface say a few decades ago, might be more a heel in today's culture. Even now, with a much more educated western society, there seems much more demand of characters with nuance, grey area, and complexity as opposed to very on the nose, one note, black and white faces and heels. There's less demand of your Captain America style Hogan's, Cenas, etc, with instead more grey, conflicted and evolving people like Hangman Adam Page. Even with heels, instead of just the moustache twirlers like classic Flair for example, you've got someone like Eco-Friendly Daniel Bryan who is a heel, but there's a legitimate reason why he is who he is, and the message is valid. Even Zayns conspiracy character if further delved into, whilst he's a very comedic heel at face value, you could look into him as a person who's been pushed to a point because of being wronged in wrestling abd it's got to him, so you get his constant complaining and "conspiracy theory" as a way to vent frustration and anger, which is relateable to people and real life issues.
