Very helpful, thanks for sharing. Now I know what I need to do to start running dedicated summer/winter sets.. Much appreciated.

Thanks for the nice words. There may be some "all in one" units out there that reprogram the car computer as well as read and initiate the sensors. When I bought this stuff 7 years ago, it was the only way to get it done- but technology changes rapidly these days....

Thanks for this video - I'm looking to buy a TPMS reprogrammer, as my Subaru dealer wants $80 every time, to reset my Forester's TPMS.

Crazy, isn't it? I have 3 cars and have snow tires with dedicated rims for each. Works on all three, and two are subarus. (Forester and crosstrek)

Johnson Subaru in Cary, NC wanted $145. I rotate in a full size spare tire with a tire sensor.

Can i do that to my car since i bought new wheels and my car wont read the Tpms? The new wheels already have tpms

Yes, that's what it is for. You have to make sure the new sensors are activated, then transfer the sensor info to the car. The sensor numbers aren't automatically read by the car

@@AZTECPRIDELOCOS it gets expensive if you are going to swap the tires back and forth. If its just a new set of wheels, and its once, its not worth the expense of the equipment

@@Samlol23_drrich well this are summer wheels so i might as well leave them like this and when i put on the other stock ones i will have no problem with Tpms

@@AZTECPRIDELOCOS makes sense. For me, I have 3 cars ants they all have snow tires on dedicated rims, so I swap 3 sets every winter and 3 sets every spring. Even if someone charged me 50 a pop, that’s 300 a year, and i started doing this about 6 years ago. For me it’s worth the cost. Probably not in your situation
