One thing I love about your videos is how you connect whatever valuable lesson you speak about to a pro's career it makes it so much more interesting and easier to understand.

This channel is so underrated. No bs just scientific way to improve & perform. I am an Esports Athlete & Also Compete in Sanda(Chinese Kickboxing) Semi Competitively and this has helped me in both endeavours immensely. Especially Esports where the whole game is a mind sport so learning and understanding the mental, psychological & physical aspects of the game has been a game changer to me and uplifting my performance to next level. Keep making content like this bud, never stop. It helps not only the upcoming athletes but also the pro ones who need a boost sometimes after a bad spiral of events.

Thanks for sharing and I really appreciate your support. I've worked with Esports athletes in the past and agree, it's all mental! So learning about this stuff can really help you gain the edge over the competition

Hey man, just wanted to thank you so much on the mental strengh tips. I’ve just played a cup final with thousands of people watching, and i managed to score a equalising penalty to go to extra time and the first penalty in the penalty shootout. While taking the penalties I didn’t feel any pressure, because of your tips and tricks. Thank you, and keep it up❤

This is a great video, a LOT of people do not have the guts to tell themselves these things which is why they need others to especially if it is something they are doing wrong or something they need to improve on, only a select few of people can tell themselves what they are doing wrong and what needs to be worked on. For example me when ever i notice my self slowing down or going off track i can always switch a button in my mind to tell my self to get back on track. 💪👍

absolutely - we all need to shower greater self-honesty otherwise we stop improving!

Hey Sam, can u make a video on leadership and how to be a good captain? I just became captain of my school team (the same one that rejected me not long ago) and im struggling to inspire my teammates sometimes. They all respect me but what do I do if 2 of my teammates are fighting and I dont wanna take sides?
@SamMartinPeakPerformance9 ай бұрын
i made a video on leadership a while back but it mysteriously got banned/taken down for an apparent trademark breach. I do still have a video on sports captains if you look through the channel page.

You're overtrained. Cut it back to systematic activation and dynamic stretching for a week, or even two. You only need an intense day once every two weeks.

Great video as always, Sam! One question I have, and other viewers might also be interested in is, coming back from recurring injuries, how can I get back to running safely? I'm training by myself, so I'm wondering if there is some way I can make sure I don't push myself too far too fast and get injured once again. I'm interested in hearing your take, as you're far more experienced than me. Thank you
@SamMartinPeakPerformance9 ай бұрын
Great Q! Really depends. As someone who's had a few injuries over the years from running, here's what I recommend - 1) See a sports physio if you can. They will be able to pinpoint the weakspots causing recurring injuries. Surprisingly the 'injured' part is often not the problem. e.g. I had a knee issue last year that actually was due to tight and weak hamstrings & this was creating imbalances etc. 2) Follow their recommendations in terms of strengthening. Usually they will give you exercises to do everyday or a few times a week. Very few people stick to this as it is long and boring.... but it works. 3) Be patient with run/walks. When getting back to running you will have to sometimes start a fresh with intervals that mix running and walking. E.g. 90 seconds running followed by 90 seconds walking and repeating. Again, this is long and boring but necessary to allow your body's stress tolerance to increase again safely.
