Unpopular opinion, but the rb20e is a fine motor. With an RB30 manifold, double stacked head gaskets, upgraded head studs, 4 bar MAF, big oil cooler and RB25DET injectors they can be a lot of fun. You can also throw on an RB20det head and run the RB20det sensors, harness, and ECU and you'll have a poor man's RB20det lol. The single jingle loves a mild cam regrind too. Seen one with 400 at the tire years ago, didn't last long though. Low 300's is probably doable reliably. I used to not bother selling rb20e's because they were undesirable(not bad, but no one wanted them). Now 10 years later I wish I held onto them and built a few up. The head casting on the E also sucks, a quick clean up of the ports and smoothing out the casting blemishes should do wonders. For some reason I don't see you running the E long enough to want to do any of that though, when you have so many better options.

I think my wife would approve of that T-Shirt...As I got car parts literally EVERYWHERE.... In the Bathroom, In the living room, In the hallway, even the staircase leading up to the bedroom has an aluminum alloy driveshaft just chillin in the corner, I got catalytic converters hiding under my bed my new stainless exhaust in the corner in boxes....And in our storage area I got a couple fenders, boxes of wiring, seats, a core support, a couple dash boards, chrome wire wheel covers for some old car I had....a set of Subaru aftermarket wheels I'm using as a table, My new tires I need to go get mounted...And uh....much, much more.

I have the eBay spec kit on my 25de 33, went air to water intercooler kit to straight from the turbo to the intake to do something different, these setups are underrated, proves doesn’t take $10k setups to have fun!

Brooooooo. Im so glad to see u do this. I Still have my Rb20e in my garage for yeeaarrrrrssssssss with a custom redone top mount RB25 turbo manifold. Never got the chance to do it. Car had an issue an a fire came so i just took it out and put in an RB20Neo aspirated engine from an R34. I then turbo charged that instead. About 4 years ago. Still rag on it hard to this day on 14psi and with the aspirated ecu on a Apexi Safc 2. So I'm glaaaddddddd to see you did something so different my guy. Enjoying the content as always from over here in Barbados.

with my turboed 1gfe i plugged the factory fuel return and installed a AN line wit fuel pressure regulator as fuel return. also i got bigger injectors with a piggy bag ecu. works perfectly and is very budget friendly should work for your rb pretty good aswell

Should get a can of ceramic coating/paint in a pressure-pack and spray the turbine housing (the hot end) with it. It will do wonders to your engine bay temps. I did all the hot side and intercooler piping with it in my RB34 powered R33 and it's magic in keeping hot temps in or out from where it's not wanted.... The most important thing is that u will need to sand-blast the component/s and bake it in the normal oven for it to cure properly.

I measured my living room turbo. It is a 70mm and according to my buddy that sold it me. It is good to do 700hp with some good engine. It might do enough for 6,2 Liter v8 chewy diesel engine wit 0.4bar boost or just blow it up :D

Had a mate with a vl commy 20e he added turbo and was running 11 psi safely with lite tune, some people knock the idea but a 20e+t is a lot of cheap fun

Put the air flow meter before the turbo charger then run piping. If you run it after the turbo you will run into trouble

Good ole eBay manifolds lol on mine the bolt holes did not even line up. I had to make the holes bigger and the flange was bent, I had to put the face on a large belt sander for a while but she’s Gucci now!! Works and sounds great

Maybe you should ask Oka-Chan if he can reflash the ECU like he does the SR20 ones. Definitely use the intercooler set up from the 33.4,it gives you the excuse to buy better ones for it. Worst engine was the CA20e, bad head, weak rods, very gutless.
