Nice job dude, clean build. I recommend a pigtail extension for your expensive VTX though, I just killed a 200mw immersion not doing so. Also wanted to add that if you have trouble putting it down gently because it's just got tons of power, a slightly more shallow throttle curve for that bottom 20 or will help give more resolution there but still feel the same for flying.

Why did you do the 3d-printed version flat? Most of the load is in the thin direction of the arms, both when flying and crashing.
@SammSheperd7 жыл бұрын
I did consider making some elaborate shapes to take advantage of what a 3d printer can do but: 1. easy to model 2. Accurate dimensions to test how things will fit with a flat plate of carbon. This prototype model wasn't meant for structural performance. 3. The way a 3d printer builds flat floors and ceilings is pretty strong compared to non-planar surfaces

First of all, Great Job!! I must however say I was shocked to see the CF being cut, sawed, and drilled with no dust management system. a 2 micron system is needed to protect your young, brilliant lungs from irreversible damage from the CF dust. 2 micron solutions are available cheap and decent systems start less than 300 from Harbor Freight & others. Please do a little research to become familiar with the risks you are taking. All the best to you. Your designs are very nice. be well sir.

On thing that strikes me about you design and most quad copter is, the "back plane" is in the wrong orientation ! Like , the motor tabs, they would be a LOT stronger in the direction they need to be if they were rotated 90 degrees !? Do you know good ways to connect pieces of carbon fiber together that is as strong as the carbon fiber elements themselves (and without weighting too much more) ?

I've alsow build a cheap Quadcopter with the same motors, ESCs and props. But I mounted the ESCs below the prop, so they are cooled all the time. They don't even get hot. My Battery (20C 5000mAh 3s) gets warmer than the ESCs and the motors, even when I fly fast. But I alsow had some problems with the ESCs. I bought 6 of them. Two work perfectly fine, two spin the propellers extremely slow sometimes, so you cant's start and two simply stopped working a few seconds in flight, witch caused some crash's.

Samm I need some help. What transmitter would you recommend for a beginer for quad FPV flying? I need something for my JJPro P200 which I've bough without a transmitter (I know, I haven't used it). I don't need really expensive stuff for over 200 pounds/dollars. I've found this Spectrum DX6, about 100 pounds and Walkera Devo 7E in simillar price. I've also found Flysky FS-T6 and controllers called Radio Link but they are in suspiciously low prices but I don't know, maybe they aren't bad. Please answer if you can. In fact anyone can answer with some wisdom.

+ardvark84 a lot of people like both the radio link and also the FlySky. You want a receiver that has SBUS or IBUS
@ardvark848 жыл бұрын
***** The problem is that I don't know what is SBUS or IBUS. What about Radiolink AT9 Upgraded Version AT9S? Will it work with JJPro P200?
@SammSheperd8 жыл бұрын
the difference between PWM, PPM, and SBUS for connecting a receiver to your flight controller. PWM (pulse width modulation): Analog signal where each channel is transmitted parallel to one another on its own wire. This is old school and the only way to connect a servo or esc directly to your receiver with out a flight controller. Conclusion: pretty fast, but lots of wires. PPM (pulse position modulation): analog signal where each channel is transmitted in series one after the other via one wire. Conclusion: simple and easy, but slightly laggy. SBus or similar: digital serial signal (basically the same as USB) where each channel is sent via 1 wire. Conclusion: very fast and easy, but you have to find a receiver for your transmitter that will do it. FrSky and many others have the common "Sbus". FlySky has "Ibus" it's just another serial protocol and works the same.
