If I'm not mistaken, this song was the very last single that Sammy Davis, Jr. ever released. 1984 was the year. This man was a wealth of talent. He will most certainly always be missed, and the music entertainment industry will never be the same without him.

Love this song! Still look forward to Mason starting his show with this song. Great pictures of the city but now outdated with GM leaving the Rencen, Gordie Howe bridge opening soon and the long time eyesore train station transformation thanks to Ford. The city is growing and it's awesome to see for someone who was born and raised in the city

Born in 1976 on Detroit Westside and raised on the Eastside from age 5 and up…waking up in the morning in high school during the 1990s this was definitely how our guy (John) Mason on FM98 got us going at 6am on the nose.

I think Chicago needs a little prayer right now even more than Detroit due to the out of control murder rate worse than Detroit in 1974 when it was "off the chain"
@dominiewheeler85873 жыл бұрын
Not true, Chicago has never had the murder rate Detroit had in 1974. It's horrible what's going on in Chicago but, Chicago has never been the murder capital per Capita.
