Your god didn't make Sammy. His parents made Sammy and from there Sammy became Sammy. He put in the hard work, maximized his talents and became a legend through his own determination being who he chose to be. Giving any credit to a god of any kind is a disservice to the hard work Sammy Davis Jr. put into his craft. Using your shoot from the hip logic.... If your god has to show off through other people by using their talents instead of his own...if he has any talents, then your god is incapable of developing his own skills himself, hence he has to steal the talents of those clearly better than him... That's rather pathetic

Very sad that that so many of today’s generations haven’t even heard of Sammy nor the many people that he impersonated in this video. There were so many other great entertainers who we all knew when we were growing up - I wish there were a way to bring them to the forefront to exhibit what natural talent (without electronic enhancement, lewd dancing, and questionable lyrics) won the hearts of their audience.

My vote for the greatest entertainer of the 20th century! From when I was, literally, maybe three or four years old, and remember seeing this incredible man on TV, and saw what he could do! Dance, tap, sing, twirl pistols, do impressions, act, riff and ad lib...ALL at world class levels - my God, what a gift to the stage! I loved him from the time I was a kid in the 1960s and still do. Thank you for posting these (thankfully we have them) videos - maybe new fans will see what multi- faceted talent really looks like; the one and only Sammy Davis, Jr. 🥰

He got a lot of recognition and respect. I can remember seeing him on talk shows, TV specials, and Award Shows. He was always handing out compliments to the point one night on The Tonight Show Johnny Carson pulled the reins on him. He received nominates for a Golden Globe Award and two Emmy Awards for his television performances. He was the recipient of the Kennedy Center Honors twice, once in 1987 and in 2001. He recieved the Spingarn Medal by the NAACP. He recieved a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award posthumously. I don't know how often someone gets a Kennedy award twice. Do you know? I think he was well rated and there was nothing criminal related to him except his friend Frank Sinatra. 😉

Okay, somewhat true, but it’s part of history and we all too often forget that because of the Rat Pack we who were ready for change made change happen! It’s easy to find fault, not so easy to have been the person who stood up and was spit upon, beaten up and ostracized because of who we defended. I had a dress torn off my body, was beaten up and sent walking home in my underwear because I stood up for my friends - who were not just black, but were also Irish! Yes, even California had real Jim Crow laws - for blacks/Irish/Italian and the poor. I was literally dirt poor. My friends were the outcast who were the absolute best friends ever! Just a little History lesson, which is not talked about!
