Nobody is perfect in this world and I truly believe Nobody knows what is actually needed to be forgiveness but all we can do is try our best to do better then what was done in the past. As long as you are progressing you are trying. Sammy shouldn't be scared to apologize to the family he did what he did and you can't take that back but you can tell the family how you feel if you truly have remorse and leave it at that how the family choose to handle it is on them, what's important is your actions towards the situation.

I guess your new view of Catholicism would vary by Protestant denomination. But assuming you belonged to a church that considered it okay to attend Catholic services would you? Would the Catholic church be okay with it? Could you go to confession? Take communion? etc. Obviously they must have family and friends that still attend Catholic mass.

People seem to forget that Jesus had followers that did bad things or so we’ve been told. Paul for instance I believe was a Roman officer and I seem to remember that he was sent out by his bosses to find Jesus after he rose . Please forgive me as I don’t remember the story clearly but I’m pretty sure I basically got the gist of it. I seem to remember a lot of the followers were sinners. I think that some Christians today forget those stories. As for CN being just for Southern Italians you be very surprised how many of the Bonanno family still today have family members in Sicily who are all very close and still live in the same villages. The Magaddino family especially are very close and large and are still friends with the Maranzano family. The Bonanno family are surprisingly still very very close and have the largest connection to the American side than any other of the five families. The original Bonannos anyway. Oh and I’m not saying that the family members still in Sicily are CN I’m just saying that they are still very close to the family members that moved to the US.

Regarding Alan Kaiser, I know the family And I feel awful they can’t get closure. Obviously Sammy has nothing to prove to me. I am not saying that talking to the victims families means that he has proven himself. It’s just I am thinking more of the victims families. It’s probably all wishful thinking on my part. It’s all between him and God and also him and the victims if he is going to reach out to them. I don’t know what he has done behind the scenes and maybe he has.
