Why wasn't joe bonanno in this list. He was the founder and namesake of that family. He held the position 30 years. Your list is garbage bro.

Gunner Lindblom has DEFINITELY hurt the credibility of Scott Burnstein a bit, but he damaged his own name the worst! Yes, Scott was co signing Gunner on here for the long time. It wasn't until others came out and proved that gunner was full of shit...that Scott then decided to put out the video stepping away from gunner. Prior to that..they were thick as thieves. I'm someone who has a ton of respect for the book "Mafia Prince". I do consider it to be an AMAZING book and audiobook. It is one of the best mob books ever written in my opinion, having read every mob book under the sun! The book does shy away from the Vince Falcone thing a little bit. It talks about his death...but they could have done that particular part in the book differently, knowing what we now know about the Falcone killing. While Gunner DEFINITELY hurt Scotts Brand a bit...theres NO DENYING... I still feel like Scotts a big player in our lil Niche Mob Genre. Scotts not going anywhere. He's been around forever and will continue to be around....and chances are he will still be here in another 15 years. I think Scott learned alot dealing with Gunner...in what NOT to do moving fwd. Now gunner in in some backwoods Lake fishing and hanging out in the woods with the deer....and Scotts left holding the bag. I'm sorry, but thats kinda what happened. Gunner used to talk shit on the Mafia Genre...like we dont wanna spend any money on books or his clothes... when really, people just weren't into gunner or his "Our Thing" Brand.. People dont want to read 1400 page mob books from a highschool drop out, its just the truth. Gunner used to get offended and talk shit on everyone lol....now he's Awol and Scotts left picking up the pieces. I'm not gonna shit on mafia prince though...i do see it as a work of art and will never say otherwise!

Mafia prince is a good book. You have to take in mind all these rats are self serving trying to justify why they cooperated.

Subtle scams like the concrete club or the "windows case" are exactly what placed La Cosa Nostra above all other criminal groups. Smarter and not nearly as greedy as drug lords.

In my opinion no dangerous informant should ever get out early. The only deal they should get is being put in a nicer prison with other informants. They are obviously still a danger to society. And whst about their victims families. They get zero justice because the perpetrator gave up info. Imagine waiting decades to find out who took a loved one, waitig and waiting for justice. Then the FBI tells them we got the guy.... but hes team USA now so tough luck on your loss.

I have to vote not informant on Michael. He would have qualified as a rat in say 1960, but in the age of RICO, I don't think what he did meets the threshold.

And gunner is a *total* joke. Even when burnstein dissavowed gunners claims, he still said gunner was a talented writer. That might be the most untrue claim he's ever made. Try reading 2 paragraphs of gunners books. It legit reads like something a 10 year old would write.

It is mentioned in mafia Prince that leonetti ended up marrying Vince falcones old gf. Leonetti even says the night they hit Vince his gf came and asked leonetti where he was and leonetti said he didn't know. He goes on to say "there was always something special about that girl" and later in the book he says he started dating her. As far as merlino not paying his debts, different people have been saying the exact same thing for years up to just a few years ago. It doesn't sound far fetched to me at all. If these people wanted to start an untrue rumor about merlino why not make it something worse or jucier than not paying bookies? I have mixed feelings about scott Bernstein. However he was involved in the ralph natale book, but pulled out because ralph wanted to tell blatant untruths.

Thank you for the thought out comments. I know heard that too about Joey and gambling debts but obviously have no proof of that but who knows. Very true on what you said about Leonetti. I know that apparently SCARFO wanted falcone clipped but I can’t remember what the actual beef was. I will have to go back and find out. Great comments
