The beach is so wonderful, growing up in Miami,FL I just feel a connection with the ocean and everytime I feel that breeze hit me when I get near it...I feel like I am home 😎👌❤️ love that sammy is living the good life and appreciating what he's got. Some people will complain the rest of their lives and never be thankful...it's not what you have but if you can be content with it. Cool to see this year's later, this man is still the same today and I appreciate what he has contributed to the world in music, personality and philanthropy 👏

My wife and I recently took another vacation in Cabo. We stayed at Villa del Palmar. We always try to find something new to try and always drop in to Cabo Wabo for a beer and some chips and guac at least. So we take a taxi into town and have them drop us at CW. We walk up to the entrance and a huge bouncer stops us at the entrance and asks what we want. We tell him a couple beers. He says, there's a two appetizer minimum with drinks. Now normally I would just say fine because we normally order that anyway. However, it's just the way he said it, like it was a demand and the fact that he was turning people away. We just walked away. So I just have to ask. Sammy, did you sell Cabo Wabo, or is this how you're running your bar now?? I know Covid was tough, but this is a bit extreme for you, isn't it?

Cabo Wabo is such a ripoff now and Sammy's been doing all sorts of desperate business deals. These last few years he's addicted to making money and more money even though he doesn't need it. He did a show here in Vegas showed up late, left early and people complained to the ticket office and either got their money back or tickets to another show. Sammy has a facade check out at least THREE TIMES in this video where he's being coyly(or not coyly) mean spirited.

I'll agree that Sammy had even more success after joining VH, but to say that if it wasn't for him joining VH he would of been irrelevant in music. He was far from broke. Hagar prior to joining VH was rocking stadium tours, and wrote some of the most iconic tunes in music, with both Montrose and his solo career. Rock Candy,Bad Motor Scooter,I Can't Drive 55, & There's Only One Way To Rock. He was hardly riding the coattails of VH. Sammy was rocking concert stages before VH was even a band. Plus not only did Hagar do half of the writing with Eddie in VH's success. Sammy's business sense also renegotiated VH's record contracts for a better financial gain for them all in VH as well.

This is his "getaway" shack, his real house is up in the Bay area of California and I know his other "shack" out on Lake Arrowhead California he had that up for sale a year or so ago for like 3 mil. And he had a house in Malibu but sold it years ago. I think he also has one in Tahoe and Palm Desert as well.

He REALLY pissed off the VH Brothers by having a secret back door deal with their manager Ed Leffler. After Leffler died, the VH brothers found out Sammy's secret betrayal and they never liked or trusted Sammy again. They made Sammy pay back the money he basically stole from them and they broke up soon after.

@@golfhoundok, here comes the explosion. As you know Ed Leffler was the band manager. Leffler arranged for Sammy to make more % off their 1993 double live album "Right Here, Right Now. Well, at the end of 1993 Ed Leffler died of thyroid cancer. Up to that point Ed Leffler and Sammy were running the band more than the Van Halen brothers were. Once Leffler died the VH brothers hired Alex's sisters husband to be the new manager. Ray Danniels. Danniels went over all the contracts with a fine tooth comb and found out that Sammy made more $$ off the Double Live album. Daniels told the VH brothers and they forced Sammy to pay them their fair share, which Sammy did. All this probably happened in 1994 and this was obviously the end of Van Hagar. The making of Balance was a nightmare and it got released in 1995. They were NOT getting along at all and you can see why the VH brothers would NEVER trust Sammy from that point forward..they controlled the band 100% from then on..to much less success but I guess they are all rich crazy huh? Oh yeah, if Danniels would've been smart he would've kept his mouth shut a manager is supposed to keep the peace and the money rolling in.
