Sammy is the greatest. I saw him perform at the Kansas City Convention Center before he was well known. There were only about a hundred people watching his performance and nobody even clapped their hands. I couldn't believe it so my family and I stood up and clapped and screamed as loud as we could. Sammy smiled from ear to ear so we moved up to the front row and cheered him and his band on. From then on it was like he was singing for us and it was freaking awesome. GO SAMMY!! Glad you made it.

People commenting here are SO right. the 90's had some seriously great country music and Sammy was right in there. I really don't want to be another discontent but the country today has very little good traditional music. I was so pleased with " You Ain't Dolly". Sounds like the old stuff. So many mistakenly think the " old stuff " is bad. NOT! I love the comments here by young people loving traditional country. There is still hope. Country Faye

I think country got a little too reliant on synthesizers in the 80s, but really roared back in the 90s, my favorite decade for this music.
@bcroft68bc2 жыл бұрын
@@AnthonyStJames I respectfully disagree. It wasn’t synthesizers that Alabama so big. Plus you had Hank Williams Jr., The Judds began in the late 80’s. The 80’s was a mixture of old country and new country. Don’t get me wrong. The 90’s was a great decade for country but it just didn’t have the mixture that the 80’s had.

Talk about Devine appointment…I met my future 18 days ago. We both live in the same town in South Georgia. Met on Facebook thru mutual friends. Began texting and gave him my number. He said “you have an 863 area code? Are you from Polk County Florida?” I texted “I lived in Lakeland for 10 years.” His response “so did I”. I said “I lived off Lake Miriam I’m south Lakeland. Do you know where that is?” He said, “I sure do, I lived off Lake Miriam in High Vista Properties.” I said “oh my goodness, I did too. My address was -- and as soon as I hit the send , he is calling my phone and I went “oh my God he’s calling, do I answer it?! Glad I did. He said “you aren’t going to belief this but I lived in the same house. My mom and dad built that house in 1989!” I nearly dropped the phone. We still can’t believe it and we are both so excited for our future together. There’s certainly a magnet like, spiritual and emotional connection like no other. 2days ago, I was thinking Lord, we don’t have a song. He sent this song yesterday and I love it. It is us. ❤️🙏

This song reminds me of my mom and dad and how they met. They just happen to work at the same truck stop, her as a waitress him as a diesel mechanic. They also just happened to be nextdoor neighbors as well. He usually brought his own lunch to work, but one day he overslept a bit, and didn't have time make a lunch. And she had to cover for another waitress on her day off. Was it a coincidence that he happened to choose her section for lunch that day, I don't think so. They met, dated for a while, got married and nine months I came along, then my sister five years later. Rest in peace Dad, we'll take care of mom until God calls her up to join you in heaven.

Just happen to run across this, and have to share my story. Back in the early 70's I fell hard for a boy in school (my first love,actyally) We had fun for a minute then lost contact with each other. Here it is 47 years later, and in 4 days I'm leaving my home town and flying out to spend 2 weeks with him, I have 1 layover and it is in Dallas-Fort Worth, he just split with his wife and the man I spent 18 years with just left me, so this song hit home, actually Sammy, you knocked it out of the ball park. Thank you 😊 💓

All I can say is WTH? O well hope he don't think I'm going to wait another 47 years.

Former coworkers we were both involved with others then but on a whim recently i decided to ask her out just to see what would happen. So i sent her a message via FB and as i hit send THIS hit my earbuds! Is it "meant to be" or will she just be another specter in my "haunted heart"? Hopefully she'll just end up being the "love of my life" and the " queen of my double wide trailer". Time will tell
