Used to eat here all the time when I lived in Jackson Heights. They’re practically almost always there on that corner. Order the lamb over rice and request to make it extra crispy/toasted. If it’s a slow day they will accommodate the request. I also order just the white sauce because the hot sauce is just too much for me. So much better than the ones in Manhattan, for sure!

His chicken is clutch. Most reasonably price halal food in NYC. Super underrated, his food stomps on Adel and Halal guys anyday of the week.

a resounding YES. Halal Guys' Chicken and Lamb are perpetually dry / overcooked and tasteless. They're skating by because of their "sauce" but the true test is having their dishes without any sauce. Sammy's 100% consistent from Jackson Heights to West 4th and it's amazing.

@@croc6198 The Halal Guys have 4 locations, tried 3 out of 4 and their best one is their brick and mortar store at 14th street. Sammy's Halal has 3 locations and they're all consistent. Halal Guys are OVERRATED.

I love getting food from the halal cart , but the venders on jamaica Ave are very rude. Just got good from there not too long ago , and the guy refused to hand me the food the right way. He passes the bag as opposed to giving it to me by the handles , smh

To be honest their food has lost the taste it once had back in the 2000's. I stopped going last few years after the food didnt impress me. Wish they go back to old days and mr. Samiul Noor should be cooking again
