Being a voracious reader for 60 years, this is the first time I have ever listened to a narration of a book I wanted to read. I'm very surprised to say how much I enjoyed it! I didn't think I would, as I usually find the written word to be much more satisfying. Thanks so much for going to the trouble of uploading this! I passed a pleasant afternoon glued to my laptop listening to it. The whole story is fascinating.

The Oliver North thing was nuts for a couple different reasons. The fact that they didn’t have a clue who he was and the fact that they had no problem killing some stranger. I almost said innocent but we all know that Oly North is far from innocent. I have watched Sammy’s KZbin videos since the first one and have really enjoyed the stories. Ever since he changed the whole format, I quit watching. I watched the first couple and didn’t like this new format where he sits there and answers questions. You never change a winning formula. Maybe that’s the reason why his subscribers haven’t went up and Michael’s,Franzese, have more than doubled. They had the same amount of subscribers with around 500K and Michael shot up to over a million. But anyway,Sammy talked about Cosa Nostra and how it’s based on honor. When was honor involved in that life? It’s always been filled with backstabbing, murder, adultery ,greed, lying, people dying for bullshit reasons or greed. Micheal is right when he says that it’s a “evil life”. If you are living in New York,Boston,Chicago and you are from the neighborhood and see these guys and may be thinking about getting involved in that life, please don’t. That life is over with and it’s been over with for a while now. There are way too many informants in the life today and those guys will use you for everything they can. Stay away from all that bs

Sammy was a "stand-up guy" who killed or participated in the killing of 19 people - including Alan Kline a 16 year-old boy scout who was simply an innocent bystander to one of his killings. He rated on hundreds if you care about that sort of thing - I don't - the more of them doing life the better! Listen to his podcasts. He paints a pretty favorable picture of himself and his mob activities - he tells a story about how he gave an old woman some vegetables - that must have cost him about $8 bucks! He got about the sweetest deal in history for his 19 murders and when he got out went right into the drug business. Yep, a real stand-up guy!

The way john did Paul and Sammy, the way Sammy did john, the way they did the others and so on and so on, I don't see how any of them could be truly happy and confident knowing they could be next for a little of nothing, there was nothing but uncertainty in that life not loyalty to each other and perhaps that's why many flipped also, it screamed unloyal but its not surprising because evil isn't loyal to anyone or anything.....What is it for a man to gain the whole world but lose his very Soul.

John Gotti was so hardcore he wouldn’t even let his own brother and crew take a plea bargain because he considered that ratting. He was never gonna make Sammy take the fall that all bullshit. Roy Demeo was the reaL article who killed more people more efficiently without the help of the feds. At the time, Roy was highly feared especially among wiseguys. Gotti and his fear of Roy is well documented. Not only was he a top earner, he was the juice. He was Paul's top killer and I honestly think Castellano wrote his own death warrant by ordering the death of Demeo. Gotti would have never even pondered moving on Paul had Roy been around. I'd bet even Sammy would tell anyone the same thing. Johns crew was terrified of Roys... Roys guys made the Bergin guys look like fkng boyscouts 😆 😆
