He’s admitted to 19 mob killings, he brought down crime boss John Gotti, survived two stints in prison, and lived under the constant threat of the mob putting a hit on him, but Salvatore "Sammy the Bull" Gravano says he’s never left the life -- it’s a blood oath until the day you die. FOX 10’s John Hook reports in the first part of the two-part series.

I hate those mfs that always say that. If Gotti wasn’t going to pull his bullshit he would’ve never flipped. I’m sorry ppl idolize Gotti but he was a shitty boss. I don’t consider a gangster somebody that has killed but I consider a boss somebody who has done whatever he asks of ppl himself.

@@pab1381 not to mention Everyone he testified against was somebody who could've and should've helped him out of that mess.... But they didn't, so fuck'em. Theoretically, John Jr should've been given the order to take his old man out as he was the only one who could've gotten close enough to gotti while inside...... But the gambinos let him run around as the acting boss, making a muck of things. And the other families just took it. It wasn't just gotti, or the gambinos who betrayed Sammy.... The whole mafia betrayed him. Sat back twiddling their thumbs while expecting Sammy to take a dive. Sammy had every right to do what he did.

2:30 - "Did you ever have a perfect hit?" Sammy: "i had, 19 of them." Man, Sammy has some balls. He ain't lying either. He goes over most of the hits he planned and participated in, in his book and on his youtube channel. Everyone, even in the mob knew, you did not get on Sammy's bad side, because he has balls and brains, and most people could not withstand both when he was motivated.

Sammy was the true gangster, was not arrogant, not flashy, kept things private, loyal to the life, did what he was suppose to do and although everywhere he was it was bugged and after hundreds of hours of tapes, he NEVER spoke of any wrong doing, or anything to incriminate himself. John blabbed so much he discussed in privacy everything they had done. John Gotti brought it all down with his mouth, not Sammy! I love Sammy, I dont care what anyone says.

Okay, the reporter here apparently hasn't read about this case since the early '90s. He only agreed to testify after they had Gotti on tape, dead to rights, yet Gotti wanted Sammy to take the blame for everything. He never said a word until the boss tried to throw him under the bus. He knew Cosa Nostra was dead. How about you listen to what the man said before reporting a tired, old version of the story?

Well, from what Sammy said he was ready to kill anyone who would try to interfere. They weren't worried about Christmas shoppers. People run in the opposite direction of gunshots. What they had to worry about was an off duty cop or cops walking the beat. Luckily, the two cops they did see talking at the far end of the block... walked away in the opposite direction, too. Paul and his driver were stuck in traffic right next to the car Sammy and John were in. Had he turned his head, he would have seen them. Sammy said he would have shot Castellano then and there. Fortunately, this didn't happen and the hit went off without a hitch.

I enjoy his stories and like I have heard when terrorist decide to turn and give our government information so that their peers can be stop and brought to justice they are call Heroes, But when Sammy did the same thing he is called all kinds of names specifically a rat. I think that is very hypocritical. Specially other mob members that never got hurt maybe thanks to Gravano’s testimony.
