I'm a lawyer in California and I met Lynne a few years before her conviction, and it was really a big topic in the legal community. Personally I was of the opinion that the charges were a bit trumped up, but I'm not intimate with all the details. Michael Tigar was her defender, and that guy is a GREAT lawyer. She did pass away about 3-4 years ago, I know.

Sammy, I married into a family and through my wife's stepfather were closely connected to every garbage contract in the entire state. I was told by a guest at my wedding reception, I will leave his name out, that if I ever abused her a new truck would be waiting to pick me up.
