When playing with friends the easiest way to defeat Anakin is for an assault to bait him into a corridor or similar chokepoint littered with remote detonators and turrets. Meanwhile a fourth person blocks his escape route using Bossk’s dioxis grenade and tripwire explosives. This strat can only work if you have a direct line of voice communication between friends who also play the game. Also, if the Anakin player is smart they will avoid chokepoints or use retribution cheesing to win a fight they shouldn’t. As a side note; fuck the chode smokers who main Anakin and only spam OP abilities with purple star cards earned through glitching. EDIT: as of now Anakin no longer has the high ground.

Surely helpful, since I tend to stick to Han and Bossk when I feel like using blaster heroes. Also, you should do an OT Challenge for May 4th or something where you can only play as the following: Luke, Leia, Han, Chewbacca, Lando Vader, Palpatine, Bossk, Boba Fett ( I don't count Iden and Yoda even though some might protest against not including Yoda since he was clearly important in the OT, but remember he was a ton more in the Prequels. )

The blaster heroes i usually use are Han on the light side, but he's a glass canon imo. Though i've recently taken quite a liking to Lando, i'll definitly level him next. On the dark side, i usually go for Boba (i play an agressive Boba, though, not the kind of Boba that just flies away and hides at the highest spot of the map to then fly in the other direction once an enemy gets as near as 100 meters ... fuck those Bobas, the worst of the worst kind of players in HvV, runners and hiders). His rocket barrage is so satisfying to use, especially since most saber users in HvV just go full on moshpit, clumping up and spamming lightsaber attacks, and when you accidentally land in a tight spot and find yourself in melee range, his flamethrower does some series damage (allthough it's kinda weird that it can be blocked by sabers ... i mean, it's flames, they're everywhere). After him, i'll probably go for Iden next, i like the fact that she kinda seems to have a tool for every occassion, plus, i really don't like either Bossk nor Phasma.

I can't speak for PC but on console, whenever I'm up against a saber user as a blaster hero, even if I roll to avoid their swing, the swing auto locks on and there's absolutely no way to avoid getting hit, let alone land any shots. Maybe it's lag. I dunno but I had no positive experience as a blaster hero. Also, it's very rare that in HvV that you'll get a 1v1 situation.

I honestly love playing Han Solo especially in HvV, the tip that I find the best is that each lightsaber character jump forward to attack you. (1:14) During this animation if you forward roll you can land a few shots from behind.

@@gblaze609 Dont know what it is like now, but at the point when i wrote this saber heroes were really really overpowered, possibly the strongest point, they could kill a blaster hero in like 4 hits, not to mention all force abilities would knock you down, dealing damage and opening you up for another free hit. Survival was very hard.

@@bluntlyhonest6803 I believe all blaster heroes got buffs near the end of bf2 update cycle and all can say is now Anakin, Kylo and Vader are the only effective and consistent saber heroes to fight all blaster heroes in almost any situation picking any other saber hero is handicaping in response high burst damage and guaranteed unblockables/ stuns type heroes like Han Solo, Chewbacca, Boba Fett, Iden, BB9E,BB8 and Bossk are they most powerful blaster heroes in the game and are very popular in both hero showdown and HvV. I don't want saber heroes to be crazy op as they were before but if your going to have unblockable abilities to counter a reckless Jedi/Sith then why not add a parry system for sorta similar to Genji's deflect from Overwatch or Pryo's airblast from TF2, turning Iden's alt fire against her (depending on your aim) at the cost of burning all your stamina to zero untill recharges your force parry would have it's own cooldown longer than your dodges. That way just like in Saber duels it punishes reckless ability spam.

As someone who mains Han, Leia, Boba, and Iden with a friend who mains Lando, Finn, Phasma and Bossk...I have to say that if you're considering using blaster heroes, it's worth your time. We dominate most HvV and especially Hero Showdown games. If you know what you're doing, utilize your abilities, and get some star cards coupled with experience, you can outclass plenty of saber heroes.

@@realahsokatano5046 Im biased here Saber Heroes in my opinion are way more fun and interactive to play as and against (unless it's Vader but even then still a saber) however blaster heroes are the opposite if you're going against them. Blaster 1.5 seconds immunities from lightsaber swings and force abilities is very strong however annoying it may be I know blaster heroes need it so they don't die the instant Luke or Vader close the distance on them. But the majority of blaster heroes abilities don't have any counters play especially if you're a saber hero. Han Solo's dentine charge can still be used like a mine but it's used more often like a triggerable grenade that is unblockable, has huge splash damage, causes a knock down to combo with shoulder charge and even if it's dodged through or to the side the reduced damage doesn't matter cuz the damage is still high as if they were just standing there follow up shoulder charge anyways to get more guaranteed damage. In pandemic's battlefront 2 blaster and saber heroes were both op as hell unless you played as Yoda the only saber hero not to have a saber throw, however if you just spammed your abilities like a rocket at a saber hero they would use the force to reflect it wherever they were aiming which meant you actually had to be creative to constantly put down saber heroes as a blaster hero and made fighting as and against both types of heroes really fun and somewhat balanced.

these are definitely some good tips. Also for new players, remember that even if you're not good with a hero, practice makes perfect. The more you practice with a hero, the more you will learn how to play effectively as them in battle. Don't be discouraged if you have a terrible game of HvV with Darth Vader. Like I said, better gameplay will come with practice

Leia can easily take out a saber user, but you have to sacrifice a lot of health. Wait for them to start swinging, then headshot them repeatedly with the E-11. You take them down faster than they take you down

I use Han and Boba, I manage damage, pressure, flanking, and pick my targets. If my team is all lightsabers and the enemy team is all lightsabers except one gun but let's say I am playing Boba. I target the one with the gun first then I go after the target. When I am the target as Boba I focus on keeping distance when their whole team is on me till my team shows up, or working with my team to go after their target since their team will be there my team can keep them busy long enough for me to take out their target. Concussion rocket us perfect for against the target and for escapes. Rocket barrage is great for taking out the tanks or targets as well. Use his 3rd ability to use the infinite jetpack fuel to escape or catch up and put pressure on a target PS flamethrower is great for those targets that are low and think that getting in close will help them. Using Han is great for anti-boba because of the heavy damage against his low health. But I have found fighting medium and long to be his best unless you have a teammate then you can fight close up. Shoulder charge is perfect to interrupt an attack while you are flanking or let's say dooku is low health and activates his dueling ability you can shoulder charge while he has that window when he stands still and it will kill or interrupt. His charge is perfect for detonating in mid air to knock back heroes and Boba. When the target use this to lay a trap. It's best to always be with a teammate to keep them busy or ganging up. And his rapid firing ability is good when they are close up and you need to finish them off before they get the final hit, or if you get behind one use it to quickly take them out. Always back out or manoeuvre around if it's more then 2 enemies till you have your team back up your attack. If its just one of them then should be easy to handle. I have followed this and improvised when needed and been the one easily with like 20 even up to 30-40 kills while not having really much deaths unless I messed up or was in a situation where I was outnumbered more then I could handle. I would totally send in gameplay for you to use if I knew the best way to record and send to you. Though I might not be able to do that soon since I am having issues with updating my games so I haven't been able to play this since the latest update.

On galactic assault as a death trooper I find myself somehow holding my own against 2 force users at once usually on a foresty map will plenty if ruins and hills mobility is your biggest advantage against force users it can be done on any map. It also helps to think ahead. Say if they come at me from the right how will I get past them time a role and get to a corner and wait for them to run by then roll out the corner and detonate the charge you set while behind the corner ots very useful. Number 1 thing is time your rolls and keep moving if you stop moving vs a jedi or sith with any type if blaster character you're dead I fought off a half health luke with my vanguard and resistance on my assault class I felt like boba fett😂

May i ask what sensitivity you use ? I do know that what sensitivity suits one best is completely subjective, but still. You seem to be able to turn your hero rather fast. Also, the best tip is to hit your shots. I suck hard at this, my aim really isn't good, which makes beating a saber hero with a blaster hero even harder :D And honestly, i feel like half these tips only really work in a ideal mathup. The kind of match where people actually make deliberate moves. However, in my experience, 99 out of a 100 games are just at least six saber heroes, if not seven, who then start a moshpit of death where they just spam their lightsaber attacks and for every one you dodge, three others hit you. And when you're the only blaster hero, they'll just swarm you and pummel you to death 4v1 with their glowsticks like it was the world's worst rave.

Just a heads up... Leia's secondary fire does damage against blocking opponents without risk of deflection damage and it is a good way to get them moving so you can start shooting them in the face, ha.

Pretty much what the video said, i play mostly Solo and Boba and my tips would be: keep your distances, make them waste their force abbilities, always shoot the head, with Boba use his jetpack to stay mobile, with Solo, use your detonite wisely, you can blow it up right on their face when they get too close. Blocking your blaster shots doesn't mean they can block your explosives or shoulder charge in Solo's case. At close range and stuck in a corner, keep aiming for the head, if you're not facing Vader, you are most likely to win.

what sensitivity are you currently on? i find it hard to find a sensitivity that both fits non saber characters and saber characters. so every time i go into hvv i have to increase my soldier sensitivity from 22 to 40. i know its unlikely that you will answer but id really love it if you did since it is frustrating

You play Boba pretty much how I play him. Sometimes getting up close and personal works better because of his jetpack dodge and melee attacks really throw people off guard because no one really play him like that. We know most Boba players just fly away and only show themselves to use Rocket Barrage. I also think the Concussion Rocket disables the lightsaber lunge like Lando’s smoke which is a helpful thing to keep in mind

I can sum this video's subject up in two words: Just. Roll. The rolling mechanic in its current state makes you invulnerable as soon as you enter the animation, whether it's towards or away from the saber user. Defeating a saber hero in a 1v1 is way too easy rn because of this broken mechanic. I'm not against blasters having a way to avoid being hit by lightsabers but the fact that they take no damage at all just by rolling, regardless of timing or not, is just unfair to the opponent. I had a duel as Dooku against Leia, I flanked her, knocked her down with Lightning Stun, then went into attack. By then she had already gotten up and rolled away, I couldn't hit her, she quickly rolled again, I couldn't hit her, a quick second later shehad recharged 1 roll, used it and then killed me despite the fact I was still swinging at her. I think the complete damage immunity should be removed completely and changed to decreased damage instead while rolling or make the current version based more on skilled timing instead of simply using a roll like it is right now.

And the damage reduction was given to saber heroes dodges instead unless you time it through a force ability that's it and that's how it should be however as you said blaster heroes rolls last so long, they have two rolls unless you have Han's star card that makes it three rolls they'll regenerate there rolls while rolling which means unless you get ganked by saber heroes your completely fine.
