Its absolutely amazing how those locations including Kalinga Bank and Pig Sties have changed since I first came to Brisbane about 40 years ago. I suppose a bazillion boats and washes take its toll on the mudbanks. Mostly I was flat-out finding a single boat in that area in the day's I'm talking of. Another great and informative video Sammy. Absolutely great explanations and tips of the trade Nick and Sammy - great stuff to share.

I never get tired of watching flathead being caught and those big models where breath taking, well done both of you. When you reviewed the tackle you where using I noticed you didn't mention weedless rigs even though you where fishing tight into snags. Snakelockz jigheads would suit Whyties beloved Diezel minnowz. Thanks for the thrills, keep 'em coming legend.
@SammyHitzkeFishing5 жыл бұрын
Thanks Garry, appreciate it mate. I haven't tried the Snake lockz in the deep, but they could be a good option when the tide turns on the slack!

Another cracking Vid Sammy. One suggestion though, might be best to tether the lip grips on the wrist as many people have had a fish swim off with the grips in the gob...
@SammyHitzkeFishing5 жыл бұрын
Cheers mate, yeah very aware of the fish doing that, i'm yet to drop a set! Usually I loop a finger through the strap to prevent it happening

Love your vids Sammy. I wanted to ask advice about trolling motors. I see you have the Motorguide Xi5 on the boat here. You see a lot of negative feedback online but that's not always helpful. They do seem to be cheaper to buy than the Minn Kotas. Going on a 4.3m Clarke Abalone. Cheers mate & keep fishing.

Hahah whytey loves a smile! Cheers mate, I usually use the remote the most, but I do take a foot pedal out as well and alternate between the two

Great to see you gaining many valuable tips from your older more mature big brother, even though he is as lazy as you. Maybe now you'll be able to step up your catch rate and land a table fish... Must be at least a month since you last caught a pearler. Nick seems keyed in on his subject so l do feel for you... thats enough... thanks Sammy
