My first and only deep drop season was only in 135m and I was disappointed to be pulling up sweet lip and just over legal red emperor. I was disappointed with that. Now I feel bad 😔 after seeing what you went through. I felt your pain, but that is fishing. Next time 👌

Sammy. I realise this is a late comment, I have been thinking. Firstly, many happy returns of the day. There is only one alternative to getting older and my preference is to get older. Loved the hilarity of the video, always best to spend the shite days with good mates in my experience. You are clearly a thinking fisherman and as a recent convert to recreational fishing (after a tortuous 15 years being a commercial fisherman 3rd gen) I have learned a huge amount from watching your vids. Don't stop; your enthusiasm, commitment to best practice and desire to teach is an inspiration. Thanks

This is a lot better format where you add in a little more techo info, eg depth, how far from shore, what you were looking at on the sounder as well as the usual banter even though the outcome wasn’t the best showing us that even you can have an average day(although you made up for that at the end). I found this more valuable than most other videos where you give next to no info and pulling in fish after fish. Well done.

Nice spur dog spot there lads . Watch out for the spines on there back . Deep dropping is not easy and takes a bit of time to get good at . Definitely a sounder game . You might want to get a 2-3 kw trany . look for structur and transitions . On top of drops and at the bottom is usually where the bait hangs out . We usually fish min 300m

yeah mate not sure if its the same in the east coast but in the west for rubies on the electric we always hold the rod so when the big ones run it doesn't burn out the reel or where a whole in the fishes jaw as this mistake has cost us a bunch of good fish

Once in Florida, we were out for fishing, the whole day nothing. Trolling, deep sea, artificial lures, life baits, sticks, jigging, .. no real success. Than we called it a day, but i was not giving up, gave the old rubber squid a chance, just comming to speed i got a 21 kg Mahi Mahi on the line and was getting him board. So never give up!
