Chapati is quite versatile, can be eaten as a snack or a meal. If you want a vegetarian combo it goes well with beans or curried potatoes and cabbage on the side. As a snack you can just bite it away and eat or have it with tea(Chai) or coffee (kahawa chungu/tungu). The beans taste nicer when coconut milk is added, so it is best to do the Kenyan Coast beans, Swahili cooking.

This is amazing guys! Loved the street food.. super tasty and they certainly have a lot of respect for food! Are you planning to see giraffes too? That would be epic at some point :)

Thanks! Street Food here is great. We got up close and personal with a giraffe in our "we became the attraction at Safari walk" video and are trying to get to a giraffe sanctuary!

SO cool! We love world street food 🤤 Africa is a continent I’ve never been to but have always wanted to go. It’s so interesting to see how they make allot he food - the chapati look especially tasty, I also love the burnt bits! The doughnut/biscuit looked super interesting. Thanks for another great video guys!

We love trying street food as well. Chapati was delicious. That doughnut was like a biscuit but we had it from a different vendor and it was sweeter. Thanks for the comment.

Wow..this is so similar to the Indian food. In India we call it chapati and samosa as well. Yeah he is good considering he started just 2 months back..

Very similar. Probably why we like it so much. He's a natural!

Nice street stall, he did a great job considering he's only been in the job for a couple of months. Cool area and great prices - got a feeling you're not spending much of your budget on food over there! You really had thought of everything with that doughnut for desert! Half way through non-stop November and you're going strong - keep up the good work!!

A true beginner's luck perhaps? It's wild going from Dubai to Kenya. Food prices are night and day. The doughnut we tried on camera was like a biscuit, but we tried it from a different street vendor where it was sweeter like a doughnut. Always appreciate the support and encouragement Matt!!

Haha thanks for the samosa shoutout! Street food there looks ridiculously cheap. How did the samosa there compare to the ones in Dubai? And I agree about eating dessert last, I have to always start savory and eat the sweets last
@WITYTRAVELS2 жыл бұрын
The flavors in the Kenya samosas are great, but miss the crispness of Indian ones. We never seem to film our favorite dessert spots lol.

Katy and Will India has reopened. You guys can apply for the 30-day tourist visa online. You already have all your certificates abd stuff. They are givibg those visas for free right now. Check this past Monday's vlog on Benjamin Jenk - American in India vlog. He gives lots of details and shows which website to apply online. Nice street food with chapatis and samosas. Soon you can have the real deal in India. I recommend you go to Varanasi, Delhi, Mumbai, Rishikesh, Jaipur and Goa. Or whatever places Will's friends recommend. Time to make the doughnuts in Kenya.

When are you headed to India?!
@TheEddieToro2 жыл бұрын
@@WITYTRAVELS I have to save a lot of dough 💰🤑 and wait for all those current travel restrictions happening in India. Right now they're only giving 30-day tourist visas. I need a multiple entry 5 year visa so I can stay there for 6 months at a time and a total of one year. When the six months are up, one must exit the country for a minimum of 60 days before being allowed to re-enter. I'll take a 5 month tour of Pakistan, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Laos, Cambodia, Vietnam and Indonesia.

Samosas…or sambusas? That’s what they called the West African kind at a restaurant in Milwaukee. Sooooo good. And Pupusas in Central America. I wonder if they originated from the same dish in India?
@SorgiStories2 жыл бұрын
Kenyan donut biscuits….hmmmm!!!
@esem1352 жыл бұрын
It is sambusa or samosa. Both are right. Kenya's cuisine has some Indian, Persian and Arabic influence because of trade on the Indian Ocean going back to centuries.
