I'm kind of new to photography, sorry if my question seems stupid. If the lens is F/4, how were you able to get f/8 and higher on your pics?

The F refers to the maximum apertutre the lens can give, F/4 means that you can shoot anything greater than F/4 till F/22 for example but you can never shoot below F/4 which is greater lens openings like F/2.8 or F/1.8 & so on. You can know more about photography from my course here: ehabphotography.com/1st-basics-of-dslr-camera/ Also you can read the helpful photography glossary from below: Basic: ehabphotography.com/photography-glossary-terms/ Advanced: ehabphotography.com/the-digital-photography-tips-advanced-qa/ Thanks for dropping by, hope that helps.
