Had my SP a while now, about 6 months. This was the first proper SP404 'A' vid, in my opinion, that i came across. Very well produced, got me inspired : ) And now 6 months later, i still come back to this vid for a little inspiration, Thanks for making it man! Cheers, Jay

Do I need a laptop or desktop computer to operate this?
@Da-Medz4 жыл бұрын
buckbumble Not at all, It’s a stand-alone sampler. The only reason you’d want to connect a phone or computer into the input line would be to record/sample into it. Otherwise you can use the onboard microphone, or pre-load an SD card with all your sounds. Then you’re all set, no need to be tethered to a computer. You don’t even need to be connected to a power cord, the SP can be battery powered.

Hey man nice beat, How is the vinyl sim sounding on a 404? I love the sound of the SX but thinking about getting an A
@rogueplanet11426 жыл бұрын
The Vinyl Sim sucks ass on the SX and the 404-A -You need to have the 404 O.G. model which has the best Vinyl Sim fx of the 3 machines.

Is there a wave converter for the 404A ?... I cant delete factory samples on memory card can u help?
@Da-Medz6 жыл бұрын
Shawn Jemal what’s good, my guy. I use the wave converter designed for the 404sx (available on the Roland “update drivers” website) when I want to bounce shit from or onto the 404A. It’s the same shit, dawg.
@Da-Medz6 жыл бұрын
Shawn Jemal I formatted my SD Card to get rid of the factory samples. Hold [CANCEL], then press [REMAIN]. Then press [C/G] when the display says “fmt”. [DEL] will begin to flash, press that shit. Done.

Hey mate! How did you go about mixing after laying the pattern? Trying to find something on this but got lost... lol :D Cheers, man! Subscribed... awesome channel you have there
@senhorlampada6 жыл бұрын
Ooh... never mind! I guess I figured it out (on my mind. my sp-404 is at home and i'm working ha! :D) For anyone else who might wonder this, after creating the pattern, you can select each sample and then apply FX and edit the level. Wouldn't be possible if you resampled instead of sequencing the pattern :P

Matheus Barros Another thing I do is select a pad and press [Start/End/Level] button. That will allow you to set the volume level for that pad by turning the CTRL 3/MFX knob.

what cord can i use to connect my iphone to my sp 404
@Da-Medz5 жыл бұрын
Trevor Tisdale I use the RCA to 3.5mm cable to connect the old iPad. But, if you have one of the latest iPhone models, you might need a different cable (because of the lightning connector).

@@Da-Medz Thanks so much!

You can still use the rca to 3.5 if you have the Apple 3.5 to lightning dongle that came with the older lightning iPhones the like 10 bucks if you don’t
