Great video man, but a much less time consuming way to slice your samples evenly on the grid is to use the scissors tool > hold down the option (alt) button > drag the scissor tool to where you want it on the grid (it will snap for you) > and then logic will automatically cut your entire highlighted sample in even cuts.

i have my key commands set so that i can type a ] to move to the next transient in the audio and type / to separate the regions. typing those two one after the other makes slicing up regions cleanly much faster. and if you're still getting pops and clicks at the beginning or ends of your regions, add those fades. also, it's fun to experiment with putting the sampler in mono and turning up the glide, along with adding an LFO on the pitch :)

the closest you can get is go to the EQ and cut the low frequencies like the bass and drums to get to the sax sound.

I used to chop my samples that way...There are two more ways to do them that maybe a little easier...First is to use the ( [ ) brackets to go to the nearest Transient..once you get to the mark you want then you'll hit the ( \ ) backslash key to chop it up...I easier for me and you don't have to worry because the chop is very precise..The next one is to set the scissor tool as your primary tool then hit option on a selected audio file and it chop the whole sample evenly !!!

You also could've sent that sample into the EXS24 SAMPLER in 2 clicks...Once you made all your chops you select the all of them by using CTRL-A select then with the standard right-click mouse method..! Then all you need to do is right click all the selected samples and select the option CONVERT TO NEW REGIONS..!! This will automatically turn you chops into a MIDI FILE in the arrange window with SAMPLES also loaded into the EXS24 sampler ready to play..Very quick method one you get the hang...!!

why not just hold option with the scissor option and line up at what ever interval you want to cut and it will make clean cuts at the same interval... 1/8 1/16 whatevs u want

All you had to do to get a cleaner chop was to use the scissor trick..If you use the scissor as primary instead of the pointer this will work great for this method..!! Hold the option key and a little plus sign will come up next to the scissors..Then take the scissors tool and put it where you want your first chop then that will chop the whole sample automatically..try it thank me later..!!
