On a second reflection, Clandestine Clara and Starlight aren't so identical as initially thought. I think my nose was fried after too much sniffing that day. Starlight does in fact have a richer warmer and deeper tone than clandestine Clara. Clara is fresher and brighter and sharper. Thanks Scentimental for highlighting this 👍

😂😂😂 oh Lizzie, your reaction to Guidance almost made me snort my morning coffee out of my nose! Priceless! It is such a weird one which I weirdly love. I can’t even explain it either. because it’s like my stomach turns a little bit as though body wants to reject it, but it sets off something in my brain with all the good lovely squishy feelings and heart eyes everywhere. It’s just super …odd. Thank you for sharing your thoughts on these! X

I loved your reviews of these. 🙂 I adore Guidance, but it took me a few months of spraying it on myself every time I went to the mall. Then one day it just clicked. I totally get your review because I felt that way, too. Bonfire sounds amazing! Cheers, Lizzie.

🤣 Lizzie I had the exact same reaction to Starlight but shut my mouth because I never heard anyone else make the connection. 😂 You have no idea how happy you've made me. Similar to that Acqua di Pino that Dan kept recommending that smells like photorealistic cilantro to my nose with a designer neroli. Not until some dude on one of the fragrance blogs hit the nail on the head did I finally breathed a sigh of relief. To quote Will Smith in I Robot, "does thinking you're the last sane man on the face of the earth make you crazy?" 🤭

Ha ha, well then I'm glad there's another sanely crazy person out there. I'm wearing Starlight today to give it a proper wear. I do really like it, and there is some difference in terms of warmth and depth but their very similar. Not familiar with this one Dan talks about but it's great whenever someone else can make sense of what we're smelling. Thanks for watching. 👍😁

Bianco latte sounds like an occasional wear at most. I think a sample would be enough for me, but I'm curious 😂 I know what you mean about the vanilla in Montales. Your reaction to Guidance was hilarious 😂 again you've made me more curious. I tried Carmina a few months back when it first came out and I was really shocked at how dry it felt. It was one of those fragrances I could taste in the back of my throat, there was a lot of ambroxan, but it got better as it dried down, still sadly not one for me (or perhaps good, given the pricepoint😂).

Yes, bianco is definitely not something for every occasion, but honestly it's a very delicious cakey scent if that's something that's craved. 😋 Your right about Carmina, a dryness is definitely there. It did seem to go kinda arid i guess and just not exciting. But like guidance, it could be just my skin. Guidance though 😳 have you tried it? Proceed with caution 🤣🤣

Hope dinner was delicious. Wish i had got that vanilla pudding in the dry down. . Seems i had a lot of bad luck on this sampling session 🤣🤣. Bianco Latte was really delicious over all, but i couldn't get the Montale out of my head in the end.

Your description of Guidance is gold :D i had very same reaction when I tested it myself, i thought what the heck is this insanely weird combination. Couldnt bare it while my partner was absolutely in loved with it :D. I revisited it later and just let it dry down and not trying to react to it and somehow it clicked and now I am so fascinated that I own the whole bottle. Anyway, i will never wear it to work again, I forgot how strong reaction I had when I smelled it for first couple of times but I was reminded when I saw faces of my colleagues (you think 1 spray is easy enough but not for this one 😂)

Ha ha. Thanks, i don't think I'll be excited about testing it again. Even though many people have said the same thing, that they disliked it at first but then it clicked for them. Sometimes a first impression is important to gauge a true reaction, and i don't want to be associated with it 😅😅. My leaking sample bottle still hums in my sample box, so it's enough of an experience for me 👍👍👍🤦‍♀️

Hey Tracy, thanks so much. I feel bad to have crushed Guidance like that, but something in it seems to draw a very negative reaction. I've heard other people say they felt the same, and then it worked for them so I'll have to revisit it a few more times. Could be a shape shifter 👍👍

A fine video, yea that first one sounds very like something I'd not be a big lover of. Yes Vitor has some good ones. Bonny and Daim Blanc are both very nice ones. And it's like the word for Dime Bar so I like it even more 🤣. The PDM sounds absolutely perhaps not one I'd buy multiple bottles of. Me and Xerjoff aren't really friends on me they are so linear I get bored after 5mins and several hours later I'm insane from them. It's a shame about the T Ford. They seem to be very Estee Lauder now... Sorry dull. The opening sounds really good though. I really liked the Ebene Fume tho. Guidance 🤣 we will one day find an Amouage we both love. I love the sweet pear and peach. Toilet cleaner,? 🤣😱 I can't complain about that comment Creed and me just ain't friends they've gone from old man jaguar driving fragrances to modern chemical soup... I was getting so close to the age where I need driving gloves and casual Conservatism too... Nevermind 🤣. Thanks geezer I like these videos, you do make them sound interesting and I can almost smell them... Tho some I wish I couldn't 😜🤣

I think i really need to try and revisit Guidance at a later date, both Jim and Cherie had better reactions after sticking with it. 👍 Yes. . Another PDM that probably won't float your boat. 🤣🤣 Vitor is such a wonderful guy, and has so many bangers at Rosa Salas. Bonfire literally makes my mouth water. Laughing so hard at your Amourage review Lizzie! I just bought a Mirage last month and out of my 350 perfumes it’s the only one I get compliments on L O L. I layer it with Another 13 by Le Labo. 😅 I also bought starlight last month and my Clara just arrived so I am interested in seeing how similar they are. I love Clara! I also just received my roses and chocolate and love that as well. I was laughing this morning because I literally have all of the perfumes you have recommended in my bathroom windowsill. Hey Julie, I've actually just pinned a comment highlighting that my comparison to Clandestine Clara is a bit off. I do think my nose was totally messed up after Guidance 🤣🤣. Clandestine is fresher, brighter and sharper for sure. Note to self, test one and only one per day 🤣🤣. Roses and Chocolate is definitely an unusual one, but i do really enjoyed its powdery qualities. Wow, 350 perfumes, that's impressive. 👌 Thanks for commenting as always. X

Our thoughts are exactly the same on the new Creed, it’s a bit boring and definitely slightly abrasive, I think Pink Me Up is a great comparison but more gentle on the nose. Guidance is very strange lol, but I’m strange lol. It’s annoying and I love it at the same time 😂. Thanks lovely 💖

Hiya, I'm worried now 🤣. Perhaps i need to get a second sample from a different source, because i didn't really get that big hit of Cardamom that I've heard is so amazing. I did talk about the lack Cardamom briefly but edited it out because it was too muffled for some reason. Thanks for your input, I'll definitely keep my eye out for a second sample. 👍

I've decided to revisit them tonight side by side. . Yes, i do think Starlight has a deeper, thicker tone. Not as fresh. Perhaps my nose was knackered from smelling too much in one day. Really appreciate your comment.

Your description of Guidance is exactly how I experienced this scent. With all the hype around this “cherry blossom” scent, I do not get it at all. It smells cheap to me, it is all over the place, and not in a pleasing way. I truly hated it. Have been trying to make friends with Starlight, but so far- no success. Something at the top reminds me of either cumin or smth adjacent to that and it bothers me a lot. I will have to compare it with Clara since I do have the sample of that one. 👍🏻 Altair- the dry down is just beautiful and I want a FB…. but the first 5 min is very bothersome to me to the point I’m not sure I want to struggle through that opening to enjoy the dry down. I clearly smell smth camporous. No idea what it is, and I don’t even know what notes it has, but both me and my son smell this camphor note right at the opening. And it’s truly harshing the vibe 😞🫠 Interesting that I have not heard anyone else having the same experience….
