SAMRAT RESTAURANT’S MO:MO || SINCE 1995 | POKHARA || CHIPLEDHUNGA

Samrat restaurant is located in Chipledhunga Pokhara since 1995. It’s in a small alleyway/galli beside almonds cafe. Its close to the main round about in chipledhunga. Theres a small police booth & a taxi/bike parking near to this galli.
Our restaurant is the best seller for mutton & chicken momo/chowmein. Other items like mutton Chhoila, & thukpas are favorites to our regular customers. People from around nepal visit the restaurant whenever they are in Pokhara.
It’s a small family run business. Owner,my dad - Chandra Bahadur Thapa has a work experience from Korea and i did a cookery & hospitality management in Australia. I worked in many hotels, restaurants in Australia and came back to motherland Nepal for the good. 🙏🏽 I did work as a pastry chef for few years in Sydney, Australia😉

Samrat has to be the best MoMo hub in Nepal, grew up eating this being a guy from Pokhara myself. I personally know Samrat's Dad very well he is a good friend and very very hard working man and his wife too. They do make tasty chicken legs and other items too. Great place to get in if you are craving for MoMo.

2 years ago, yo restaurant bikri ma thiyo. Restaurant selling price mileyo bhane kinam ki bhanne bichar le ma aako thiye, uha haru ko goodwill le garda hola restaurant ko rate high lagera maile kinena, and rent also high. Feri naya owner bhaye paxi business ma asar pari halxa. Tei mathi covid ko maha mari thiyo. tara i noticed chicken momo ek dammai sale hune raixa. Preparation table was full of momo thiyo. Sahuni didi ko knee pain sancho vayo hola bhanne kamana garda xu. Godbless you guys for ur hard work.

Grown up eating samrat Momo because bro was famous in kumudini homes. Momo was slightly expensive than other restaurants but portion quantity was always more so I found the price fair ! I wonder how much the price is now. Last time I had was 4-5 years ago. Glad to see this restaurant is still open and gd to know recipe is aunty’s. Keep up the good hygiene work, missed eating there

I have been to Samrat restaurant many times. My favourite is mutton momo which is delicious and light. Makes me crave for more. Quantity of filling could be more though. Your parents provide great customer service and always greets customers with a smile. How old is your father now? His Nepali topi is a stable.

Before going back to the hostel my bajyama (Grandma) had to take me there. 2 plates minimum when I was 12 year old. Soup is best aswell. Miss the evergreen uncle who use to be always at the restaurant reception.

Really enjoyed watching your video. The family business is really appreciatable and respectable too. But I went through some comments and noticed that we people working abroad aren't all lazy and do dish washing/cleaning and laundry. We do have loads of people who have respectable jobs to the point that our bosses ask to refer more nepalese people as we have set an example respresnting our culture, country and its people through hardwork. Its an opportunity for our younger generations. Its just a mesage to those people, please do not judge us from a nepalese majority lifestyle. We work our ass off too and represent our country in different way. You have no idea how many of my clients have visited Nepal just because i have personally recommended them. You have done an amazing job and we are here doing it too but sadly with no fans and followers. Lastly, i personally wish you nothing but prosperity, well wishes and a wonderful journey ahead!God Bless!
