I'm 85 kgs and I have the reign e+ from 3 months. On my last ride I squeeze the battery and I make 32 kms and 1280m d+. It's winter and that morning there was around 10/12 °c. In your opinion it's a good range? I was only on second assistance (tour)

Well explained, Sam, thank you! I wish Giant would fix the "Auto" mode problem of the motor not activating when coming out of a turn. My bike is like yours, a 2022 +0. If I don't petal hard after coasting, the motor does not energize. I find that I have to briefly stop petaling and then petal harder to get it to work. That's why I usually ride in the middle mode, so that the motor always comes on.

I’m not sure you have seen my Syncdrive review video im not much of a fan of the automatic mode try and put it in 200 support and the full 85Nm it will ramp up to the full 100% power if you put in the work it’s kinda like automatic mode kinda give it a go and let me know what you think 🤔

Hey Sam. I'm still a little hazy on what support does. If I am lowering torque for eco and tour should I also lower support to extent range, or is it more to make you work harder for a better work out?

Bang up job Sam! Thanks for this, I have 22 Reign e+2 and was wondering how this all worked. Super cool being able to tone down motor output for days I am not climbing 3K. Did 15 miles yesterday on flatish and used 18% at 50 NM.

Great presentation! Sam, I downloaded the app yet in the “SyncDrive motor tuning page”, I do not see the same newly added settings as you show in the presentation. I am referring to “Support, Torque & Launch”. software I have is version 1.18 . Where can we find the version : 2.0?

@@SamsBikes I have version 1.21 after deleting and updating the app today (10/20/24) Where can I find this 2.0 app?? Are you sure you don't mean App version 1.2? If I look at the version history in the app store, 1.21 is most recent (launched 1 month ago)

Hey Nick thanks for the kind words. I’ve actually got one for my Trance but never used it because I have a 800wh but it looks pretty easy to instal and it’s 250wh so give you a decent add to your range

Is it true that the TORQUE setting is only available with the SyncDrive PRO2 motor and not with the SyncDrive Sport2 motor? Such a intentional software limitation would be really annoying ...

I have a similar bike to the one in your video. When you turn the bike on a blue light is displayed - what mode is that? Why does Giant not provide a user manual for how to use the motor settings and what they are. Great video by the way.

Greetings from Norway😊 I have a Fathom E+ 2 29 inch wheels. Bought it thiw year in April i think it was. Since my previous e bike got stolen last year in November in the garage here where i live. That was a e bike from the brand Cube. Reaction Hybrid Performance 500. I wasn't that sad that it happened. Little happy since was two things i didn't like about the bike. The plastic quality of the cover to protect the battery, and the cover to charge with the charger. With this from Giant it's a much better cover where to charge. It fits perfectly and nothing can come inside. And how to use some muscle to open it when to charge. I have the Ridecontrol app on my phone, and came a new firmware update to my bike 2 days ago, and again yesterday. Not sure if it was the same update that updated two days ago. After connect the app to the bike with bluetooth, it showed a update like it showed two days ago also. And updated it. But a strange thing after updated yesterday. When checked the bike of errors in the system check, it showed red in Energypak battery. Never showed that before every time used the system check. But did yesterday. In the e bike setup under bike details it showed that the battery is 100%. So hope this is just some issue with the newest update, and not to the battery itself. I am taking a ride today and hope it works. If someone else experiencing the same issue/problem, i would like to know.

Hi Sam have recently got a Reign E2 and been trying the Ride tracking on the app but have noticed it drops the Bluetooth connection with the bike and needs reconnection or it misses recording the ride? Cheers

Hey Paul I hope all is well mate! I haven’t had that. Maybe try deleting the app and reinstalling then do a full ebike update check everything is up to date and give it another go. Let me know how you get on.

Good video 😉 I have a Giant Stance 2 and the old app sucked! Even though I was connected and I could do a tune, every time I tried to look up how many kms the engine has done it would just hang. Hopefully this update will fix this.

Thanks for your great videos! The City I live is near mountain so when I go to the south side it's all down hill and when I go to the north is all uphill , the only Giant ebike availabe here is Giant Talon E+2 2023 with Yamaha Syncdrive Core with 50Nm torque. Can I ride the hills easily with this ebike like its flat or no?

You can easily climb steep hills at 50nm. I have the new Trance Advanced E Elite + and I ride at 20nm and 30 nm most of the time. I weigh 230lbs with gear.

I moved the sensor and after 30km the syncdrive warning appeared on the display and it doesn't work anymore... what can be done, I put the sensor in its place and it doesn't work?

In the displays of a ride history, I am unclear as to the meaning of the values under " Average Power" and " "Max Power" . Do these refer to the watts I put out for the ride or the motor puts out or a measure of combined power of me and the hamsters?😊

@@SamsBikes Well, on the injured list. Achilles rupture. I have been approved to start some road riding. Been taking the Trance out here in Arizona. Ebike has been an excellent rehab bike. And the new app lets me adjust power even more now. Can't wait to try in the dirt.

Help! Can someone tell me if it is possible to go back to Home Screen mid ride? Today I came to my first big climb of the day and realized I had forgotten to raise my power level back up a little as I had previously tuned it all the way down in eco and tour just playing around. I could figure out how to get to Home Screen without ending the ride. Anyone know how to return to home on the ride control app because Giant doesn’t seem to have much info on their website. Thanks!

@@SamsBikes Thank you so much! It’s uncommon for a you tuber to respond due to volume of comments so I really appreciate your efforts. Also just an FYI I absolutely love the trance e elite 2. At 66 with multiple leg injuries it enables me to ride areas I never would be able to otherwise. Just not enough leg strength left to get up those steep climbs. You still have to pick good lines and use your skills (switchbacks, roots and rocks). People who have never tried one don’t know what they are missing. Thanks for all your work on this channel!

You know how to maintain the app connected to the bike, even with the phone screen turned off? Because if you reconnect the bike in the middle of the ride, you lost all the data previously recorded

Don't update your giant bike, it'll kill the battery power, it'll slow it down your speed by 30%, I did, biggest mistake I ever made, took it to the dealer, they couldn't help.
