This is the first time I've disagreed with Emma. I think Taylor is someone we need to protect. I think you guys are underestimating the significance of Taylor Swift's endorsement. There is a whole demographic of young people, particularly young women, who are not at all interested or engaged in politics. As political junkies, we all assume that others are as obsessed with everything political like we are. But they are not. Taylor Swift has a massive fan base and her endorsement may indeed move a lot of otherwise disengaged young people to actually get out and vote. And you are forgetting that while Taylor Swift's music typically appeals to a younger female audience, she has been around and popular for 15+ years and what was once a very young audience is now a demographic of young adult and 30 something women. Very much of voting age!

US Presidential debate.... Trump is asked by the moderators, that he has been teasing a new plan for health care in the US for going on 9 years now. How each time he mentions it, its always 'coming in a couple weeks', but never seems to get there. He is asked if now.. 9 years later... he can reveal his plans for a better health care system. He tries to dodge the question, but is aske a second time if he has a plan to reveal to he country. His response? "Well, I'm not President yet am I?" So, 9 years, and still no plan. He will never have a plan. He is holding the football, an the country is Charlie Brown, always being assured, "Don't worry, this time I'll hold the ball for you" Perhaps someone should tell him that candidates are supposed to run on a platform, with detailed plans on how they plan to fix and improve things.... not hold those plans hostage for people's votes - "I'll tell you what my plan is once you elect me'. That's not how elections work.
