I could say that that was the most loneliness times in my life and all the company that I had were Sam Smith's songs. I remember myself walking and walking for a long time in the city listening to him. His voice was a remedy for my soul. Sam Smith helped me grieve my father who passed away in 2011. Lay Me Down really helped me grieve. And now this song years later I think I'm finally saying goodbye to him and accepting that he is gone. Yeah it took me 7 years which is long but I was 19 when he passed away and I've struggled to be here, which I thought I won't make it but here I am writing a comment, even after relapsing hours ago after 4 years of sobriety, but still I'm here.
