Hi Marc , lovely vid to watch on this cold wet night in Ireland. Bought a couple of the 40 grm Samson shads and they are brilliant for casting, the rod looks 1st class also and looking at the specs it’s really impressive that it can deadlift up to 8kg, could be handy on the West coast marks. This rod is my next purchase as i travel a good bit to Fuertaventure and it will be used for every thing.

You won't be disappointed it's a beautifully crafted all round rod. I've even been chucking 4oz leads bottom fishing with it and cannot fault it.

@@12volt Funny thing is i was basically looking at using the Diawa 5000 Bg , not sure if the difference between the 4500 and 5000 is much ?

@manchapkarm3626 the 4.5 gives perfect balance the 5 would probably make it slightly butt heavy but that's great for long range line pickup

Diawa 4500 BG perfectly balances the rod but a 4000 would probably be just as good . Hope you have a great trip 👍

Great rod review. Going to Lanzarote may do a bit of fishing and I was told you need a licence to fish what is the easiest way of getting one.

I used a guy online called lanzarote rod liecence or something like that. You have to send him alot of stuff but its legit and lasts for 3 years.👍

You can do it online , lasts for 5 years and they email the license to you , costs about 40 Euros 😊

bonjour bernadette le moulinet que j'ai associé à la canne était un diawa 4500 BG . Cela rend l’ensemble de la tenue parfaitement équilibré. J'espère que cela vous aidera et merci d'avoir regardé 👍

Lovely video would i get away with a penn authority 3500 on this rod as the penn is heavy for its size built like a tank also at home in Ireland i use the Samson enhancer for sea bass which is great with the penn ,wondering if i could get away with the enhancer in travel form for abroad mainly sea bass ,striper bass ,blue fish and bonito ? I think i could but im open to the next size up what you think guys ? Is lighter best or todos is a bit heavier.

I would think the Enhancer would be fine for fishing most of the canaries but the Todos is perfect for the west coast . I have a friend from Ireland whom uses the 3500 and he has no problems atall .👍

Looks like a great setup. Can i ask, are you right or left handed? I've seen so many on KZbin like yourself that cast as a right hander but reel in like a lefty!

Hiya Dave im left handed in some things and right handed in others that's why I cast like a rightie but wind like a leftie ... all a bit kack handed really 👍
