Good Evening Sam, good to see you playing your Train Simulator again. Wow, you now have the Caledonian Railway Single Wheeler No.123, she's a beautiful old lass, that's what the Scottish called girl. No.123 is now located at the Riverside Museum in Glasgow. Wow, I love seeing 123 flying along the mainline at speed. Plus 123 had ran on the Western Region in real life along with the famous locomotive, City of Truro while hauling a special train in 1960. Well done mate, you've done it again.

Plus I've been searching up on 123's speed. She ran at a speed of 59 miles per hour in 1888.

Nice one Sam. In real life Calley 123 was restored to running order in the late 1950's and used on specials through to the mid 1960's before being 'stuffed' in a museum in Glasgow. During that period she got as far south as Cornwall and visited most parts of the country, so you can run her anywhere and keep it realistic More please, and I think you should try her on some more hilly routes, she was built to tackle the Beattock grades after all Jon PS - speed. I service she was quick for her era. She took part in the famous races to the north, taking the first class portions of LNWR west coast express trains (normally 4-5 coaches) from Carlilse to Glasgow, often averaging 60mph and often exceeding 80 on certain sections

Imagine you're waiting for you train and a single wheeler is the one pulling it. Caley 123 is a unique product of her time

If you're after routes to look at, I suggest either the Corris Railway or the North London Line. Both routes are available on Steam. If you try that London route, you will need to get the Armstrong Powerhouse sound pack for the Class 378 as the default sounds are awful.

Perhaps you could also try some other railway games, such as Rolling Line or World of Subways Volume 4.

mate I just got a model f this a couple of days a go, she had two problems the first problem was that the wheel under the cab where too tight the second problem was that she was a bit front heavy so I had to put a piece of steel in the cab so the wheels under the cab could make contact on the tracks.

Im really new to all of this but recently bought myself an old 1977 I think R751 class 37 the motor runs quite loud and was in need of a good clean. The loco is running much smoother now but the wheels will spark every so often especially when going round a curve no sparks from motor. Any suddestions

It depends on which version you get - mine was classic steam or something like that, and it came with a Black 5 - probably came with other engines too, but I forget! Thanks for watching - Sam :)

For me, it came with the 2 German steam locos and the academy locomotive and i got the black 5 and 7fs when I got the Somerset and Dorset joint railway. Tho while im here, hey Sam can you check out the freeware Hudson for TS at some point?

If you want to produce more steam somesort, Open up the Blower and open up the Dampers, when doing this, I got my Stirling to an incredibly 51.3 Miles on hour with constant Pressure, And keep them on, you can drive really well from then

Also, Caledonian Locos need to be driven in a different way. 40% reverser and 51-58% regulator. And CW products are made to be enjoyable not difficuilt or advanced. In other words, perfect for you sam. ;)

It's a great engine. Digital Traction made the model, and you can get it for about 15 pounds.
