Portrait mode is only available on Samsung’s Sero TV.

You need to play HDR content to see ST.2084 gamma option.

I've had a 7 series and 2 8 series au and cu, and the 7 series has better black levels than the 8. I've noticed HDR does not show on film maker mode only. Does this mean HDR is not supported in this mode only, as it's what I have my Blu-ray player set to. Also there is a lot of white bleed in the top blackbar in letterbox on wide-screen content, so I keep my settings on standard with 20 brightness 45 contrast 30 colour, warm 1 🙃

Hi Darko, I would like to ask you something, I got brand new 85 inch of the series, I can see in completely dark environment some cloudy patches around the corners, and is quite a lot sometimes, as far as I know is backlight bleed but is it repairable or is it eligible for return? Hi! Generally if the backlighr bleed you find distracting, check options to get a replacement TV, especially if you still have an option to return it. In Croatia we have the option to return the item in the store, usually 15 days since the purchase. Just be aware that this condition varies from unit to unit and you might get even a worse uniformity on the next one. Also, if your model has local dimming in Picture settings, enable it or set it to high to reduce the clouding effect.

Yes, I expect DU series to perform the same as the CU series, so you can use the settings from this video. Anyway, I'll probably but DU8000 or DU7000 during Autumn to confirm this.

Your TV automatically upscales all content to its native 4K resolution - sure, for the best image quality, you need to playback 4K content, but even Full HD will look really good.

Hi! Definitely I recommend TCL 55C745 mainly because it has more stable picture controls and has quite good local dimming. If you want mini LED model, then check TCL C805.

Perfect can never be, but closer to targets you can get with basic tips from this video. If you want more, you will have to calibrate your unit.
