I bought mine just over a year ago, and have just begun to see this problem. It's been occurring for several weeks. It looks like it self-resolves, then it starts up again, out of the blue. Usually, it starts with this problem when I turn on the PC, and within about 30 minutes it disappears. It's inexcusable, and I'm very disappointed in Samsung. I've used computers of various brands since the mid '90s, and I've never had a problem with a monitor of any kind. This is the first time I've had to troubleshoot a monitor in nearly 30 years of owning computers. I hope they have good service. Thank you for the video. I was wondering what the cause might be.

Don't be too quick to judge I've seen this happen with every major brand of monitor and tv on the market for the last 10-15 years. There is a way to avoid shortening the life of the T-Con board (which is what I am 99% sure is the issue we see here that isn't widely known by the consumer (and you better believe it isn't common knowledge by design but all the big companies are guilty of the same shady ass practice) (this next part is a copy paste from a previous reply I've made on multiple TS forums and KZbin videos addressing this but I've yet to find anybody to offer a solution that actually fixes it just temp fixed that will eventually lead to it being permanent and not many people know the T-Con can be replaced for a fraction of the price of a new monitor AND it is really easy to do. if you can turn a screw driver you can do this fix but again I haven't had a chance yet to look into how much the replacement costs. my best guess is between 99 and 299. I'll update my comment when I know for sure.) To the best of my knowledge (I've been fixing consumer electronics for almost 15 years) this looks like an issue with the T-Con board failing or has completely failed. I'm sure how expensive those run yet for this model but it is WAYYYYYY cheaper than replacing the entire screen. I'll know soon as mine just started doing this after returning from a week long business trip. I had everything disconnected and I did it in safe order first. Computer side first: Power off computer, unplug power to PC (wall or PS it doesn't matter), flip power supply switch, disconnect Ethernet (if you have it), disconnect HDR (if you have it) disconnect video cables (whatever you are using), don't forget audio unless you are running it though the monitor. Monitor side: Same procedure same order but with one additional step I overlooked that I suspect caused my T-Con board to fail. I did not discharge the capacitor's by holding down power for 15-20 seconds after disconnecting power from the monitor. It is vital you do these steps in this order or you can/will eventually fry your t-con board or worse and that goes for all modern TV's and monitors. Hope this helps

It's most definitely a "cold start" issue, an odd one to be sure. It seems to be related to the clock timing on the monitors, as manually setting the refresh rate in monitor settings lower (my 144hz down to 100hz removes the issue entirely). I've completely disassembled the monitor and will have a thorough look through all the components, replacing the capacitors and ribbon cables one by one to see if the problem persists (and where it comes from)

@@diegobenaventecovers1717 Sorry for my late reply, I didnt get any notification until someone else replied to me in the comments and had forgotten about this entirely! The problem is most likely the Tcon board being faulty, replacing it seems to solve the problem for most people. Without diagnosis of your specific monitor however I cant say for sure, it could also be a lose ribbon cable (put some pressure across the contact points, in some cases some electrical tape does the trick, but be careful not to push too hard!) if youve got experience soldering, you could get some flux and redo the ribbon connection entirely (not easy) after cleaning it thoroughly. But this is rarely necessary, and likely would be a waste of time unless you can confirm it beforehand. Since the monitor is very large, it is very difficult to transport it to a technical service outside my city. to the best of you memory with each one had you ever disconnected the power before disconnecting your video input and/or HDR connection while the computer was still on? That can cause the capacitors inside the monitor to remain charged that can damage and even completly fry the T-CON board and that goes for all modern T.V's and monitors. ALWAYS power off computer disconnect everything before moving over to the monitor and start first with HDR cable, then HDMI/Display/whatever you are using, then power cable, then you have to HAVE TO HAVE TO discharge the capacitors by holding down the power button 12-20 seconds (I hold it for 30 seconds just because). And then there is always the rare one that slips though qc that fails no matter what. One thing I should mention do not attempt to replace the T-CON if you are still under warranty because it will void it no doubt
